Sling TV launched recently with an interesting proposition. Pay $20 per month and get a handful of TV channels streaming to all your devices without a regular cable subscription. To sweeten the deal, Sling is teaming up with Amazon to offer a discount on FireTV devices, which can be used to watch Sling TV.

Subscribing to Sling TV entitles you to channels like ESPN, ESPN2, Disney Channel, CNN, HGTV, and more. There are also a few $5 add-on packages for more sports, kids programming, or news. If you pre-purchase three months of Sling TV, you'll get a promo code good for a free Amazon FireTV Stick ($39) or $50 off a regular FireTV (priced at $99).

So you spend $60 on Sling TV, and you can get $40-50 in free stuff from Amazon. That's not a bad deal if you're curious about Sling TV. It's probably the easiest way to get access to cable channels without a pricey cable package, but be aware most of the channels are live only—no rewinding or pausing.
