Through the Google Play for Education platform, Google has brought Android tablets to schools throughout parts of the US, along with the apps teachers require to put the hardware to use in their classrooms. Now the search giant is expanding the offering to the UK, including software that caters to the country's curriculum.
The initial batch of hardware includes the Nexus 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Education. The service package comes with tools to help administrators get their schools up and running, Google-made apps for teachers to utilize with students (such as the recently released Google Classroom), approved third-party apps, and software specifically designed for the UK market.
