Happy news, Canadian HTC One (M8) owners! If you were fidgeting in wait of that OTA update that would bring your device up to Android 4.4.4 and add all the cool (and weird) features of the Eye Experience, you should sit still and count the seconds until 9am, PST time today. That's when the update shall start flowing to those of you who bought an M8 through Rogers, TELUS, or Bell, as announced by Mo Versi, HTC's VP of Product Management.

HTC has been rolling its Eye Experience in OTA updates to the M8 over the past month, starting with Europe, then the Developer Edition, followed by T-Mobile and Sprint, and now it's the turn of our friends up in the Great White North. The update may take a while to reach all devices, but when it does, you should be able to use face tracking during a video call, capture photos from the front and back camera simultaneously, and creepily merge the faces of two people, among other things.
