The Snapshot M builds replaced the traditional stable builds in CM11 (the M stands for milestone). What's hitting devices now should be as close to stable as anything you can flash in the CyanogenMod lineage. M11 will include all the accepted changes from recent nightlies. New Snapshots are also good opportunities to add new devices and remove old ones.

There are only about a dozen devices with live M11 updates as this post is going live, but by the morning the rollout should be complete (or just about). Updated devices including the OnePlus One, Nook Tablet, and Sony Xperia Z1 Compact are already up. You may begin obsessively checking for updates now.

    Broken images... :-(

  • Sruly J

I had a big feeling this was coming soon since every night there were more strings being merged into cm-11 in a more "together" manner. And no, I have not updated my S3 in the nightlies since near the end of September due to not wanting bootloops. Shame they still support crespo and not crespo4g :(

Word of cajution: Dont dirty flash Snapshot build on top of daily Nightlies :)

    • Alberto

nighlies are always ahead of snapshot

Unless you are behind a couple weeks :p

Captivate still getting snapshots... Very good for a old phone.

Yeah - my ol' Captivate saw everything from Eclair through KitKat, but it finally bit the dust about a month ago from too much flashing & old age (i.e. finally used up the limited write cycles of the internal nand flash).

Nothing new for Moto G (Falcon) again !

    • Amrit Zoad

      Same for Galaxy SII

    • Arch9

Falcon didn't receive any milestone again because it doesn't have device maintainer

        Damn ok :(

So she didn't share the secret with you or you tried it and failed. That's why you are spamming here. We all wish you more BAD luck. Have a bad day.

I know it's a bot. I was expressing "our" anger. You should be thankful to me.

  • ignitionnight

I wish they'd release builds based on amount of users, not alphabetical code names. Mako is too far down the list!

  • tintin.92

Why should anyone flash this over the regular 11s for a OnePlus One?

    • http://www.rubenalamina.mx/ Ruben Alamina

My OPO is on the way but as far as I know flashing standard CM builds would help with solving bugs until the CM 11S build is updated with an OTA but the customization made to the 11S build are not present on the regular CM, like the camera app, animations, default theme and other stuff. They can be added through APKs but I would stay on the 11S build unless there's an annoying bug that is already solved on the CM nightlies. My two cents.

  • cvm

Wow the nexus s still there

  • Fatal1ty_93_RUS

They never took this much time to go from Snapshot builds to Stable builds thus finishing the development for the current version of Android, I mean it's already M11! Did KitKat gave them that much trouble to work on?

    • ignitionnight

M Builds are stable. They are never going to be "done," as there are always improvements to make.

      • Fatal1ty_93_RUS

Aren't M builds technically 90% done before they make a final Stable release? At least in the past it was like that

      • http://www.techxe.com/ iKRAM Abid

Even nightlies are so stable that it feels stupid sometimes. I used nightlies for forever.

    • YouNex

They're continuously adding features, so we can't get a 100% stable build for now
I think there will be a stable build once L is released, maybe few months after

      • Fatal1ty_93_RUS

And thrn with all the huge changes in L compared to KitKat they'll spend another several months to get things going

    • vq

      "stable" is only a label.

  • Jason Brown

if only support for toro somehow magically came back. =(

  • Anonymous

Some of the builds are broken, FYI. Wouldn't recommend flashing or you'll need to restore and might lose some data. Not at all fucking surprised given CM's track record as of late.

    • Nes

I'm staying in M9, which works perfectly with my sprint s4.

  • fanSte

    again no hlte !!!!!! why??

  • almousawi

I don't know, I mean... what if Google released L without a beta (like the previous releases), would they still be working on KitKat till today! that CM11 should have been in stable channel for months now.

    • Rob Cook

There are no more Stable builds, they addressed this back in May: http://www.cyanogenmod.org/blog/cyanogenmod-11-0-m6-release

M Releases are now the 'Stable' releases. I'm betting even when L drops CM11 will never hit a 'Stable' release.

    • Brad

They're not working on L until the final version is released... the code is currently not finalized.

  • Pawan Kolhe

Is that the International Octa-core version of the Galaxy S5 which got support?

  • Jaidek

Here's hoping that they've fixed bluetooth connectivity on Galaxy S4's. I had to roll back from M10 to M9 because of it.

  • POY

    Come on hlte

  • Erik Arroyo

Moving from Snapshot to a newer Snapshot, need always to reset data on CWM? or is not needed, lot of time to setting all again every month

    • Jonathan Daggar

I go from snapshot to snapshot using CM's built-in update feature on my . (About phone/updates). That will automatically install the update without flushing data, just clear the cache. That will use rely on recovery in the background, but it's not like you're picking through the update menu.

  • HeHateMe

It would be nice if they fix Bluetooth. My Moto 360 disconnects all the time and pretty much is one way communication (phone to watch). My bluetooth headphones get choppy whenever the screen is off or at lockscreen.

I'm done with CM. They have forked too far from Android Vanilla. They are becoming no different than Amazon's version of android.

  • PiLoT .

anyone know what that bit about camera means. does that mean slow mo and 4k supported on s5?

  • thartist

    Changelog boring as fuck.

    • aa

      you changelog too much

  • anil

iam currently using CM 11 nightly will i get the latest update via ota

  • Stefano Miranda

I always getting crashed android.systemui if the battery is lower than 15% on hammerhead (Nexus 5). What the hell-?

    • Dan

Also for galaxy nexus (I've read it's a translation problem) at least it occours in italian version.

  • Adrien Carlyle

Anyone else notice that the people app has now unjoined your google plus contacts from those in your address book?

  • djr

I want to give an update: Nexus 4 with CM11 M11 snapshot. My battery has only drained 10% in 12 hours! and there are no more lag on multi task switching, browsing whatsoever!

Best build so far for me.

It seems that the next will come with Android 5 L LTSI (longterm) kernel 3.10: https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/common.git/+/android-3.10

Seen in the screenshots "About phone" in Android L on the Nexus 6: http://www.smartdroid.de/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/bildschirmfoto-2014-09-27-um-09.36.02-750x609.jpg

It is also used in Android Wear KitKat: https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/msm/+/android-msm-dory-3.10-kitkat-wear/arch/arm/configs/

  • MWDjentleman333

Please excuse my noob-ness but im still fairly new to running cyanogenmod on my phone. I was wondering is there anything special i have to do for this update,or is it just like any other nightly, just download and install, reboot? I saw someone mention to not do a "dirty install" and to uninstall any nightly builds. Is this relevant and if so could someone please point me to the correct direction i should take? Fyi, im on a D2LTE device.

    • power_pizza

If you're going from a Nightly to a Snapshot, you have to wipe your device. A dirty install or dirty flash is when you install over an existing build without wiping.

Dirty flashing is okay if you're going from Nightly to Nightly but clean flashing is recommended if you're going fron nightly to snapshot or vice versa.

  • Bang bang

No update for the g2? Thats sad.

  • Paul Woolstenholmes

I am interested in whether I have a problem with my install. I upgraded from M9 to M11 on my SM-9005 (note 3 LTE) I have lost the ability to change the trebuchet grid size, select which page is my home page and move the all apps button out of the quick launch area. I am also now unable to remove the annoying "OK google" bar from each page. If anyone else with this device and ROM version could reply I'd be grateful to hear if you have the same problems. Does anyone know if the features I'm describing have been removed from m10 and m11 and if so why is there no mention in the change log? It seems a shame to write about added features and not about removed ones. I upgraded due to the issue of volume always being on Max in m9 but now wish I hadn't bothered.
