Samsung's Galaxy Tab Pro series was massively overpriced when it was introduced, but like most Samsung devices, it gets some pretty good discounts at retail. Best Buy is offering the 8.4 inch Wi-Fi tablet at 9.99, which is a solid $80 off of the current retail price and $150 off of the launch price from seven months ago. It's available in both black and white, and this is a new device, not refurbished.

Strangely, Best Buy is also offering the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 via its official eBay account, in both colors and with the same in-store pickup options. It looks like many Best Buy locations are sold out at the time of writing (this could be a clearance sale to make way for the slightly improved Galaxy Tab S models with their Super AMOLED screens), but both retailers have free standard shipping. The deal is valid only for the United States, even on the eBay listing. Because Best Buy operates in every state, you probably can't avoid sales taxes on this one.

The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 uses a drool-worthy 2560x1600 LCD screen, an Exynos 5 Octa processor running at 1.9Ghz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage plus a MicroSD card slot, and an 8MP rear camera. The price is pretty great for a tablet with that kind of hardware, though Android purists probably won't appreciate Samsung's somewhat radical additions to the software on the Pro models. It's considerably more powerful and higher-resolution than the G Pad 8.3, often discounted to around the same price, and the next step up would probably be NVIDIA's SHIELD tablet at $300. Those who want to wait on the Galaxy Tab S, keep an eye out for Deal Alerts in the next four months or so.

This is a sale price, so it's presumably limited, but spreading the sale to eBay as well implies that Best Buy has plenty of stock.
