Coursera is a great app for learning about subjects like chemistry, computer science, and business, but your device is a little small to be watching lectures on, right? No problem—the latest update adds Chromecast support, among other things.
Here's everything you get in Coursera v1.2.
- Chromecast - watch preview and lecture videos using Chromecast
- Landscape support for phones
- Ability to swipe between "Past, Current, Upcoming" tabs in My Courses
- Updated video player with new rewind 10 seconds feature
- Minor bug fixes and performance improvements
The Chromecast support is the headliner, obviously, but I'd be almost as excited about the quick rewind button. That sounds like a lifesaver. You can take any of several hundred courses through Coursera for free, but getting a verified certificate in classes that offer it will cost money.
