The latest Beats Music update continues to flesh out its overall music streaming experience. This particular release, version 1.2, focuses on areas that distinguish Beats somewhat from the competition - its song discovery and basic social networking elements.
The service claims to connect users to the music that's right for them, and a new Tune Your Taste feature provides listeners with the option to change their favorite genres and artists. Instead of new, it's actually more of a comeback. People who click the item under app settings will find themselves back at the bubbly screen they encountered when they first created their account.
As for other enhancements, the intriguing The Sentence feature can now pull up a list of recently played songs, and there are also Twitter-style verified badges for accounts that have been deemed legit. Here's the changelog.
- Tune Your Taste -- Want to switch up your Just For You recommendations? Change your favorite genres and artists with the Tune Your Taste feature in Settings
- Sentence History -- View your most recently played songs from The Sentence
- Verified Badges -- That red check mark means the profile is certified as legit by Beats
- Player Improvements -- We fixed a ton of bugs causing the app to crash or stall
- ...and much, much more!
There isn't much here to attract new users, but it's another straightforward update for listeners who are already hitting up beats with Beats.
