There are a lot of sales going on today – a suspicious number actually. There's not a holiday I forgot this week? No? Maybe Google is about to have some sort of summer promotion, or a few developers' sale dates might have coincidentally lined up. Whatever is going on, you can reap the benefits and save some cash.

Dammit, why is Final Fantasy IV undiscounted on Amazon Appstore....!!!

    • Alan Smith

Which brings us to question. Why are you using the amazon app store?

      • HellG

Because most people have around 40$~ of credits they got from amazon coins promotion?

        • OniKyanAE86

          Hahahahaha! Nice!

      • Funem

If you have a kindle its your only choice. I wish people would stop knocking the Amazon app store, they actually give away more stuff than the Apple app store and Google combined. Free app everyday, some are real quality AAA titles, they also gave away over £25 worth of coins as a promotion for you to use to buy apps and games. Simple answer to "Why are you using the amazon app store" is "Why not". I use both Google and Amazon and have never has an issue with anything I bought from the Amazon app store.

        • Pooka-kun

I wish the same too. Its an Appstore that's too generous. As long as I check back for apps everyday, I'll be rich on Android apps. I've got over 450 apps on the Amazon Appstore. One of the best things ever made for Android.

          • DaveTexan

Also I have Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD. I can't get Google Play on KFHD(unless I root) but I can get Amazon Appstore on both...The tablets are for the kids so I don't really want to root. My own tablet is rooted running CM11...

        • Bruce

I used to use the Amazon App Store when they first started. And then discovered that if you delete the Amazon App store, none of the apps installed from it will work. When I discovered that, I deleted all the apps and the app store and never went back.

          • Pooka-kun

But you can't really uninstall Google Play, right? Its not like some Google Play apps don't check your GMail account! It is non-sense to expect that you can live with Amazon apps without the Amazon Appstore.

        • Aki I.

I use both as well but Amazons selection of apps is pretty atrocious. But free is free so I use it for free apps of the day. The funny thing is that with all the free coins, there really aren't many paid app worth getting

        • https://plus.google.com/+MichaelBond codemonkey85

Part of the reason that I personally don't like the Amazon app store is because of what happened to Shifty Jelly: http://blog.shiftyjelly.com/2011/08/02/amazon-app-store-rotten-to-the-core/

The other part is that I would just prefer to have my apps under one banner, instead of having to manage two different sets.

          • Pooka-kun

Old article. No proof that it still happens now. And doesn't affect any of us.

          • https://plus.google.com/+MichaelBond codemonkey85

It may not happen now... but it did then, and I don't see any evidence that Amazon treats their content creators any better now than before. As for "it doesn't affect any of us", as a developer I was offended on behalf of Shifty Jelly. As a consumer, I like to support devs that make awesome things, and SJ makes some awesome things. So once he pulled his app out of the Amazon store, I was compelled to support him on Google Play.

          • Pooka-kun

I'll stick to my Amazon Appstore and Google Play combination either way.

          • https://plus.google.com/+MichaelBond codemonkey85

Well the nice thing about Android is that you always have choices. :-)

          • Pooka-kun

            Yes. No Apple Appstore ftw.

      • Pooka-kun

        Because I can.

And read Funem's post with it.

    • DaveTexan

Why is DQ8 not in the Amazon Appstore.... I have saved $40 worth of coins for it...I already got FF3,FF4, FF5 in Google Play during the previous promotions....Still don't have time to finish even FF3...

      • Zewks

Why indeed. Ive been waiting for Dragon Quest 8 to show up, but I dont think it is going to at this point.

  • Wilf Moralee

Breach and clear not worth the sale price even as the developer is not bothered about fixing the blatant issues with the game (constantly crashes on note 2)

  • clovervidia

Damn, how many RPG: XYZ games does that developer have on the store?

    • Matthew Fry

Nothing makes me sure a game is unique and interesting more than when they declare the genre before the title. It's just like CoD: BO2 :)

Anyway, it's Kemco, they have a metric gazillion 'RPG's.

      • clovervidia

        FPS: Point and Shoot.

        Guaranteed Game of the Year.

  • Toboe

    Yay FF Sale!

  • http://mekakiwi.blogspot.com.br/ ED-Z が あらわれた!

    I have some suggestions:
RPG: The Return of Those That Never Went.
    RPG: Tales of Snake Talon.
RPG: The Dusts of Blue Ocean.
    RPG: The Role Playing Game.

Breach and Clear is currently free on the iOS AppStore. Why not on Android, you ask? Because Google doesn't allow that.

    • Kostas

Of course it does... But it can't be paid again :P

      • https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=iWizard Bikram Agarwal

Yea, you spelled it out. Mine was gist. Hope when L goes live, Google adds the looong requested features in play store.

        1. Free for a day promos.
        2. Coupon / promo code.
        3. App gifting.

        • Kostas

I think the devs are already pretty resourceful. They offer full apps by entering promo codes within the app or make huge discounts in apps to lure people into buying their apps and spend money on them. App gifting would be a very welcome surprise though.

          • https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=iWizard Bikram Agarwal

Problem with current developer coded promo codes is - you can't uninstall / reinstall. The "pro" unlock doesn't get associated with your play store account or Google account on the device. For example, say you entered the "appoftheday" code in Lapse It and it became pro. If you then uninstall it and then reinstall it after few days, you don't have the pro anymore. Unless you took a backup using TiBu etc or unless the app in question has its own account login feature.

Unlike in iOS. Where if you download a "Free for the week" app, it is always associated with your device account and you can download it anytime anywhere.

          • Kostas

Exactly. If the developer wants you to have it forever, its his choice to put a google sign in method in his app. On the other hand, stores like amazon, choose which app is featured as free for a day.

Start working at home with Google! It's by-far the best job I've had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this - 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail
