It's Monday, and that means it's back to the rat races for a significant portion of the world's population. We can make it a little better by equipping you with some neat apps and games at reasonable prices. They're not going to alleviate the crushing burden of your responsibilities, but at least you can save some money.

One thing I really, really, really HATE... is apps, or any product/service for that matter not owned by Apple, that uses (tries to cash in on) that freaking ' i ' infront of whatever it is they are selling/offering.

For me personally, it's a complete and utter put off. I'd probably buy the iCount app had they come up with something more creative and not ripped it from Apple.

Don't get me wrong, I'm one of those who would love to see Apple get buried for all the shit it has put others through but seriously, come up with something creative, unique, 'your own'.

The i* prefix was around before Apple used it though so do not associate it with them except you can blame them for the increased popularity of it though. Didn't they have to pay something to use the iPad name?

      • Ray

My point is, Apple essentially made that ' i ' popular and worth something to the world. If you asked anyone where the ' i ' came from 99.99% of planet would say, Apple.

My beef isn't with those that used it prior (which no one knows anything about anyway), but those trying to cash in on Apple's success by using it in the naming of their own products/services.

Like I said, come up with something new and original. You could have just called "iCountTimer" something as simple as "CountTimer". Why even add the ' i '. It's stupid and ridiculous!
