It wasn't supposed to drop until tomorrow, but Leo's Fortune has just gone live in the Play Store. In case you missed the review today, this is a fantastic action platformer with some clever puzzles and amazing graphics. Oh, and no in-app purchases.

Leo's Fortune follows a mustachioed teal fluffball (Leo) as he traverses 24 meticulously designed levels (story and bonus) in search of his gold. The gameplay is perfectly tuned for touchscreens and performance on Android is great.

I'll spare you the remainder of the gushing I'd like to do – you can read the review for the full story. Suffice it to say, this game is excellent and absolutely worth the $4.99 asking price. It's not likely you have access to one, but just be aware the game is also live on Android TV developer boxes. Something to look forward to this fall.

This is a pretty brilliant game so far!! Thanks for the heads up AP.

I probably wouldn't play this, but I feel almost compelled to buy it to support no IAP.

    • Kostas

      This makes no sense...

Why not? Lack of positive reinforcement is exactly why mobile gaming is in the cesspool it is right now with regards to the state of F2P and IAP.

        • Kostas

You can't positive reinforce someone and expect others to change their business plan because you bought someone else's game. After all they will never know why you bought it in the first place. Probably because you like it and wanted to play with it.

Looks like Badlands played with the fur balls from Fling

I bought it this morning. It's a great game, I highly recommend it. One of the greatest parts: No IAP. :)

    • Thomas Cai Jinzhan

It's been a while since AP has reccomended a game so strongly, definitely purchasing this game.

This week is going to be a great one for Android gaming, with the release of this game, Google Play Games 2.0, Superfrog, Wayward Souls, Sonic Jump Fever, Minecraft PE 0.9.0, Fightback, and Blackmoor. (P.S. No Bulkypix new release this week.)

Game is a lot of fun! Just curious... How can it have 104 five star ratings when it only had 10-50 installs?

    • Renan Lazarotto

my guess is that Google doesn't update that number very often. I think that is the same that happens to youtube vids where you have 100 views and 1k+ thumbs up.

      • acmatic

        Ahh that makes sense, thanks!

  • Renan Lazarotto

Sadly 5 dollars is a bit more than what I want to pay for a game right now. I'll wait until next month, when I'll have more money.

    Badland on steroids

  • Yoofaloof

People are willing to pay $4 for a game but then moan at IAP's in free games.

  • Kostas

What the dev did is a joke though. Yesterday the price was 3.67 Euros. Today is 4.5 Euros. I don't think this corresponds to 5 dollars. I don't know why he did it. I was on the fence about buying it yesterday, but now I know I will not until the price drops to the correct level or there is a sale.
