Outside of Google, it looks like Sony is the first company to start pushing 4.4.4 to its devices, beginning with the Z1, Z1 Compact, and Z Ultra. While it's only a very minor update, it still says something about Sony's drive to push timely updates that it's the first to get 4.4.4 out the door to consumer devices.

      No 4.4.4 for flagship Z2 .
I guess its L for the Z2 then asap.

Well, it was nice to dream .....

They might update those phones a bit later than these updates, just as they did with 4.4.2 for the Xperia Z and Z Tablet.

  • René Simonsen

My Z2 tablet (in europe) is still on 4.4.2

WOW!! Sony even before Samsung or HTC... that's like a miracle coming from Sony, let's hope they keep up with the rhythm for the next android "L" release... They have been doing a great job lately with updates :)

    • Fatal1ty_93_RUS

So it's tmobile's fault that the z or the z1s haven't seen an update in a while then? Man I love my unlocked nexus 5

  • Jeff Martinez

Hopefully Sony continues this to the US. I got 4.4.2 a couple months ago via OTA on T-Mobile in Phoenix. Crossing fingers here.

  • Ricky Kirkman

Wow my Sony Xperia Z still on 4.1.2 in UK, what gives?

    • DonEmu

      Talk to your carrier...

You bought a network locked, subsidised phone and broke rule number #1 If you want the latest amd greatest, it needs to be Sim free, and better still, Google/Nexus/Moto

      • Jack Jennings

        ...or Sony, evidently...

      • Ricky Kirkman

MarkG54321, My Sony Xperia Z IS Sim Free unlocked to ANY network, I just prefer O2 as they have the best signal in my area, I've used a Nexus and Moto they C**p don't do what I want it for, and for your info Android OS is Googles own OS lol, think before you speak, and read before you post pmsl. Just great to be even more 'cloud dependant'.

Other regions soon? Hopefully the US isn't that far behind. I've gotten OTA updates a course times here income 4.4.2. Can't wait.
