Google Drive/Google Docs isn't the best online office suite in the world, at least in my experience, but it is a pretty great way to get a competent and instant editor for quick tasks. The only problem is that this tends to leave you with dozens of semi-finished items in your Drive, a bunch of quick paragraphs and hastily-formatted emails that need to be deleted one-by-one in the list view. Today Google Drive has solved this minor annoyance, if only on the web.

You can now delete the Doc, Slide, or Sheet that you're currently working on without closing it and going back to the list view. Just click the "File" menu and select "move to trash." Instant digital oblivion is now only two clicks away on the web editing interface. Huzzah! Serial window editors, your prayers have been answered. This feature is only for desktop browsers at the moment - it's not yet available in the combined Drive Android app or the separated Docs and Sheets apps.

Now you can remove a file right from the... editor.

The biggest missing thing from Drive (for me, at least) is batch downloading or the ability to download folders.

I can download folders and multiple files at once... Right click on a folder -> Download, and when you select multiple files it works the same, or you can click the More button at the top and select download in the dropdown. Max filesize is 2gb I think.

They should add the ability to make a copy of an existing doc/sheet in the mobile app. I use this a lot, but it's only available in the web version.

Bear in mind that the file is still in your trash, so it can be recovered. You can also see the version history, which can be useful. For batch downloading, I use the Syncdocs app.
