Google sells the 16GB Nexus 5 for $349, so on the surface this doesn't seem like an amazing deal. However, Google charges you tax and shipping. It really adds up. You're lucky to get the N5 out the door for less than $400, depending on where you live. Or you can just pay a lot less and buy it on eBay right now.

This is a new unopened Nexus 5 with a 1 year LG warranty that can be used on AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. You also get your choice of black, white, and red colors. It's the exact same device you'd get from Google Play, but a little cheaper. So go before it sells out. Keep in mind, you'll have to pay tax in New York and shipping outside the US will cost a few bucks more. Might still be worth it, though.

In order to save some of our readers time, I've compiled the most common deal comments into a single post. Enjoy.

"I wish [PRODUCT] was this cheap in [COUNTRY HERE]."

"Wow that's a really great deal for a [PRODUCT]."

"No shipping to [COUNTRY HERE]? Lame."

"Shipping to [COUNTRY HERE] costs [UNREASONABLE FIGURE]?!"

    "US only?" [YES]

"I just bought [PRODUCT] for [GREATER DOLLAR AMOUNT] [AMOUNT OF TIME] ago, damnit!"

In the same spirit I will help readers who get upset by the comments that David Ruddock writes:

"Why are AP writers such jerks? I'm going to write in to Artem"

"Don't they realize the readers are how they make money?"

"David Ruddock looks like Seth Rogen, but without being actually funny"

"I hope David Ruddock gets hit by a Google mapping car"

To be fair me getting hit by a Google street view car would be fucking hilarious.

        • Cesar

I passed by a Bing street car the other day. At first I was excited cause I thought I'd be in Google Street View, but then I saw the logo on the side of the car and was severely disappointed.

They ship the phone to other countries and not only the US:

"Ships to: United States and many other countries "

The only variants of the N5 in the US are 16GB vs. 32GB, and the colors. The only difference between a phone on Tmobile vs. Sprint is the simcard.
