The Chrome Remote Desktop app was long overdue when Google finally launched it a few weeks back, and already there's a much requested feature addition. As of the newest update, which started rolling out yesterday, the app supports immersive mode on Android 4.4.

What’s New

Before this update, the 'X' button in the action bar would hide only the action bar. That was certainly better than nothing, but it wasn't true immersive mode. Now in v36 there is a full screen button that hides the action bar, status bar, and navigation bar (if you have one). See the comparisons below.

Old

Remember, immersive mode means hiding the on-screen UI completely. It is different than the translucent system UI.

Download

The APK is signed by Google and upgrades your existing app. The cryptographic signature guarantees that the file is safe to install and was not tampered with in any way. Rather than wait for Google to push this download to your devices, which can take days, download and install it just like any other APK.
