The Moto X isn't dead yet – in fact, Motorola is offering a good deal on last year's flagship phone right now. For the next two days, a 32GB off-contract Moto X is only $349. That's $100 off the regular price.

The discount is automatic and doesn't come with any warning about limited stock. It's pretty likely that Motorola is trying to clear stock of the Moto X in advance of a new device, which is rumored to be coming later this summer. If you don't like waiting, this is your chance to get a phone that's still pretty snappy after all these months for cheap.

Also keep in mind the unlocked Moto X (works on AT&T and T-Mobile) will be getting Android 4.4.3 this week. You've got until Thursday at 11:59PM ET to decide. Yes, developer editions are included.

wait what? but i thought they already closed their Moto Maker Plant o_O

    • Shawn

      It closes later this year.

    • RyanWhitwam

Later this year, and that doesn't mean Moto Maker is going away. The devices will just be assembled elsewhere.

Thanks for the info guys :)

Before someone leaves the usual "but I thought the 32GB is $399" comment, it's only the Republic Wireless. The rest are $50 more.

Reminder that this deal can be combo'ed with the Moto Trade Up Program if you've got an old enough phone. At $250, it's hard to beat.

    • Shawn

Is there a way to do both at once to bring down the upfront cost?

      • David H.

Don't believe so, from the looks of the Trade Up, it basically functions as a rebate program. Send the phone, UPC, and receipt, and get a $100 card 6-8 weeks later.

Unless you're with Verizon, who got their greedy hands involved and ruined the whole thing - you have to buy it in-store and on contract.

          • RichA

They would only give me $15 for my Gnex with no damage.

          • Detonation

Trade Up program is only for Motorola phones.

I just checked it out, looks like I can get a Moto X for other carriers when if I trade in a DROID 3.

          • Detonation

Right, Verizon brand phones are eligible to be traded in for any carrier, but if you want Verizon Moto X you have to do it in store.

So jealous of you guys in the US - you get regular deals AND moto maker. Wish Moto had made a similar push here in the UK. Being limited to black and white Xs is lame.

EDIT: and you get the 32gb version. And the developer version. I really hope Moto makes more of a global push with the X's successor.

Even at this price I wouldn't touch this phone, all it is being sold for is the fact you can customize the outer looks of it. The specs are ( And were at release time as well ) subpar. For the price if this there are far better options out there. Even the HTC that AP did a article just a while ago is better. Myself I'm going for the OnePlus One, 64GB with a hell of a lot better hardware and it's $349. Granted all the people upset over the invite system seems to make it seem out of reach but the real release date for it is this month. I'm just more patient at getting what I want than most are I guess. Also add another $25 if you choose any of the wooden backings for the Moto X, I'm sure the Opo will charge extra for this too, but it is a extra on the final cost of the device.

I had a couple of euro Xs a few months ago. Loved the feel and the streamlined software. I have a One M8 now but I do miss the X. It was definitely a triumph of experience over specs.

It certainly is temping, but I must wait for the new Moto X.

Republic wireless 32GB is $299; same price as the 16GB they advertise on their site.
