Remember like a year ago when Google was going to add notification syncing to Play Services so you wouldn't have to see the same notifications on your phone and tablet? That still hasn't actually been rolled out, but the new Pushbullet v14.1 does pretty much the same thing. By expanding the notification mirroring service, Pushbullet can sync notifications across all your devices.

As an example – let's say you get a phone call, but you've got a tablet in your hands. Pushbullet will automatically mirror that notification from the phone on your tablet so you know who's calling without picking up the phone. If an app produces a notification on your tablet, and you swipe it away, it is also cleared on your phone (and computer, if you have the Pushbullet extension). You can also see the content of text messages on a tablet with Pushbullet's new notification sync.

Syncing the dismissal of notifications is probably the coolest part. No more will you have to see the same things when you pick up a different device. Cool though it is, the developers are careful to point out this is a beta feature. It can be enabled in the settings of each device you want synced, but watch for bugs.

This app is beyond awesome, it really should be default Android behavior. They also seriously need to release some kind of premium version so we can support their development..

I won't be surprised if Google buys this up at some point in the future for many millions in cash.

with this version they also brought back the "correct" hamburger menu! (three stripes instead of an arrow, like in the previous version)

You can still donate to them on XDA.

What? Google hasn't rolled that out yet? I thought it had oO

I found this app just a couple of weeks ago. I only wanted an app that mirrors Android notifications to the desktop, but this app does more than that. Amazing development and beautiful design!

So this update brings exactly what Google has shown on the I/O last year but never actually made it a system featute

Oh crap, someone is going to see that my wife texted me that she cooked chicken for dinner last night.

    All notifications from all apps.

    • willwhitworth

Will this cause any issues with apps that have already implemented Google's version of notification syncing?

      • guzba

Shouldn't. I've been using it for a while now without any trouble.

Thanks for recommending our app, that's basically the biggest complement you can give us :)

It's the same slide menu Hangouts uses and is intended for a different use case. The answer here has the reasoning: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16801611/difference-between-slidingpanelayout-and-navigationdrawer

Airdroid is better for large files at this point. We're catching up though.

      gotta love your response

We drop them if we can't deliver it right away so no worries there.

  • guzba

Difficult but not impossible. It's on our radar for sure.

For almost everyone PB has essentially no battery impact. (A poor quality network connection can make it a bit harder on your battery though. Enable the setting to only mirror on Wifi to keep things efficient.)

Thank god, someone does what really needs to be done. The frustration I'm going to avoid with the help of this function...

I'd love to add this feature to my apps, but you've to apply for it (as in the top line of your link) and they've never replied to me

I have two different google accounts on my primary mobile device and these are configured on pushbullet.
One of these google accounts is also in use on my nexus 7 and it has pushbullet with sync notification enabled. I receive the nexus 7 notifications on my primary mobile device. Happy :)
Second google account is in use on my second mobile device and and it too has pushbullet with sync notification enabled. But i am not receiving notifications from this device on my primary mobile device. Sad :(

Pushbullet syncs notification from just one account :(

  • Jiggy

I totally disliked that addition. If everyone started doing this, imagine what's going to happen. Share to "A new facebook post", "A new Google+ post", "A new Instagram image" blah blah. Completely ridiculous. As much as I love Pushbullet, this was a very 'pushy' thing to do.

The beta isn't an option on my phone. Downloaded it to my N7 and my Droid RAZR(don't laugh) and the beta option for cross android push shows up on the settings in my N7 but not on my phone... hopefully they'll be able to do something about that. It's the whole reason I downloaded the app.

  • Astor

Why is the Beta Function not available on my samsung tab 3 8.0?
i've looked in the setting but it is not standing there. Please help
