Amazon has stayed true to its promise to offer a "premium" app of the day for free every day since the launch of its Appstore. On occasion, it has even offered multiple apps, best-of apps, or apps that are tangentially related in one way or another. Today, Amazon is offering a pretty cool bundle that revolves around music – music creation, discovery, listening, etc. There are some well-known titles in this bundle, too, like Shazam Encore and TuneIn Radio Pro, just to name a couple. Here's the full list:

Lots of goodies in there not only for the casual listening, but also for the musician. Ultimate Guitar Tabs is my go-to place for basically anything I want to learn to play (it's the official app for ultimate-guitar.com), Guitar Riff Pro is a great tool for anyone starting out on the 6-string, and every musician should have a good metronome.

These apps are all free for today only, so hit the links above to grab just the ones you want, or head here to check out the full list on Amazon's site.

    Picked up Wavepad! Thanks!

The only thing I don't like about it is that Amazon requires that the Appstore be installed whenever you use the free Paid app.

Too much hassle dealing with apps and updates from two different stores. No Thanks.

      • vyktorsouza

not to mention the awful interface, I'd rather pay the 4 bucks tbh

        • josuearisty

          Good for you!

        • bearballz

          Moneybags eh?

          • vyktorsouza

lmao, I didn't mean to "sound rich", I was just kidding

        • qd

          I'd rather get it free.

Agreed... And not only different Play Stores, but also the occasional random app that just distributes via their website....

I've been hoping Google would adopt the repository idea from Linux for the Play Store. If we trust a source, allow us to add it to our Play Store. Then I could link my Amazon account and be able to search and update apps all from the same interface at the same time, rather than having to go through different apps for each service.

I hate that too. I only use the Amazon Appstore on my Kindle Fire HDX...because I have no other choice. But I like being able to jump on deals like this on that particular tablet.

And the fact that developers don't update their app in Amazon as often they do on Play Store. This is partly because Amazon takes long time in approving any app/update. So, developers are like "Meh... we'll push only big updates to Amazon".

      • Suhas

Yeah this sucks! I downloaded Runtastic Pro FoC thanks to Amazon store. And I was excited when AP covered their revamped interface which was cooler. Sadly the update is not available as yet. That sucks big time.

  • BarKa

great apps.. I bought JetAudio and other two apps. I asked for refunds and got it from google play and now installed them Amazon AppStore :)

Picked up TuneIn Radio Pro. Thanks. No more ads.

  • yieldway17

TuneIn Pro and Shazam Encore are worth it. Finally Amazon got me to install their awful store in my phone.

    • Calvin Uijlen

True, I also installed Amazon Appstore again.

I did it last time they ran a similarly awesome promo. I even bought Shuttle+ and FolderSync from there, using Amazon Coins (dunno where they came from :P).

        • Funem

Some apps are better. The ones for some of the newspapers are better than the play store ones. The UK's London Evening Standard app is better for instance. I have been using the Amazon store for ages, sometimes they give away a gem of an app Alpha Wave was free a short wile ago and that is a great little shootem up. They are falling behind on their content a bit and there are lots of AAA titles missing from there. I would hate to have a Kindle and have to rely on just the Amazon store for apps.

  • Jason

thanks for the heads up on these great deals

  • MafiaMM

    Uhhh FREE is FREE!!

    Stop complaining and enjoy!

  • HolyFreakingCrap

Funny that the only way to get people to use their appstore bullshit is to give stuff away and that method still doesnt work. Amazon needs to give up on their Android ambitions or get with the damn program and stop trying to play outside the box.

  • sacabonos

Did the offer end or is it US only? Because I see normal prices here.
