There are a lot of challenges to running a small business effectively. Some people just don't have the time, patience, or desire to deal with tasks that aren't part of the core business, like taxes and advertising. To help with the latter, Google created AdWords Express, a simplified version of AdWords that makes advertising simple to set up and track without having to dedicate much effort. Today, Google also launched a handy app to make managing your AdWords Express account from your phone as simple as possible.

AdWords Express isn't a particularly complicated service and the app reflects that with a simple interface. Account managers will be able to create and modify ads, adjust spending, receive alerts, and check the performance of their ads. Since the program is generally geared towards local businesses, setting up geographical targets and keywords is very simple, but not quite as flexible as its bigger brother.

The app is free on the Play Store but you will need an AdWords Express account to do anything with it. If you're inspired by the idea of creating ads while out and about, hit the widget below and get it installed!

Got excited at first when I saw "[New App] Google Adwords..." Really would love even a basic traditional AdWords app. The GA app will do (if you have GA & AdWords talking) but even an app that would let you make very simple adjustments would be very welcome.

Same here. You would think that for the money they are making off AdWords they would at least implement a decent app so you can monitorize your ongoing campaigns. But neaah...
I also got excited when i read the title thinking i could see my campaigns on my Android, without zooming in & out.

The worst thing about Android: your kind of attitude.

So wasting data on loading ads are a good thing now.

        • Stylus_XL

Yeah those 130 character text ads are really gonna eat into your data plan.

          • http://www.emuparadise.me/roms-isos-games.php Apple is a patent troll

Tell that to all the animated and video ads.

          • Stylus_XL

Since when has AdWords delivered "animated and video" ads?

          • http://www.emuparadise.me/roms-isos-games.php Apple is a patent troll

And that is somehow a reason why I shouldn't use adbock?

          • duck hairs

Can you link me to the adblock you use? Im looking for a good one that works with chrome. Im rooted so that's not a problem.

Adaway is pretty useful and it works on the latest version of android.

          • Captain Spaulding

That's what I use, it works great.

          • Stylus_XL

You don't have to stop using Adblock, but your two arguments against AdWords were absolute nonsense. If you're going to dismiss AdWords at least justify it properly.

        • Chris

To be fair, it's how us developers bring you applications free of charge. Our time does not go wasted and you enjoy a seemly experience.

I've recently started suppressing Ad's in my application once you've clicked on it.

    And is not available worldwide.

    • DoubleP90

      Google is a disappointment :(
i can understand restrictions for movies or music where they need licensing and stuff, but for apps it's just stupid

  • dobbsy

So frustrating that this doesn't work in Canada.
