Samsung's newest mid-size tablet is probably about to get more appealing for the tinkerers out there. TeamWin has announced official TWRP support for the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. The popular custom recovery can be downloaded from the official directory in several forms right this minute.

tab8.4

There is a ZIP file that can be flashed from the current recovery, which is probably easiest as long as you have the necessary access. An image file can be installed over ADB, but many Samsung owners use Odin for device management. An Odin flashable TAR is also listed on the TWRP page.

As usual, flashing recoveries is an action you undertake at your own risk. Don't blame us if things explode.

I think iPads are better tablets for fun and regular work. And for professional and hardcore work, surface pro 2.

I tend to agree, but after using my mom's iPad a few times over the past few months, I can't stand the friggin' thing. It's certainly an exercise in patience learning the "Apple way". To me, it doesn't hold a candle to my Note 10.1 2014, especially with S-Pen and multiwindow.

Spot on the Surface Pro 2, though.

Spot to the surface pro 2 and you say you can't stand the ipad? Wtf! Ipad is the most easy to use tablet. And it also has the best App Store...

It's not easy to use. With no back button built into the tablet itself (purely software), it's really aggravating to use. Plus you've got no manageable file system.

The back button is more comfortable on the screen. Besides, if you slide your finger from left to right it will do the same function. I am telling you, ipad is great. And the file system isn't necessary... En you use things like the app documents 5 or Dropbox to manage files...

      Surface Pro : Yes
      iPad : No

Why you say that? Ipad are great.

No to me. I own iPad myself and I think that iPad is useful only for entertainment like watching movies and gaming . But not for working at all. Surface Pro is great for works because it can run full windows applications like MS Word and Adobe Photoshop. Full Stop.

Are you kidding me? Ms word? Seriously? On App Store you have all the third party apps that emulated office... And also the iWork suite for free. IPad Air is great for REGULAR work, and of course, for FUN!
