If you missed this deal on the Dell Venue 8 the last time it rolled around, consider this your chance at frugal redemption. Dell's official online store is once again discounting the Intel-powered Android tablet by a respectable $50 on all models. Head to the listing, select your capacity, and apply the code J41TT1LGPH2RD2 to get the discount.

This deal starts at 10:00 AM Eastern Time on Monday and ends tomorrow at 7:00 AM. The quantities are limited by Dell and there's no telling just how much stock they've set aside, so get a move on if you want a discounted tablet. The black model has the best price at $129.99/$159.99 for the 16GB and 32GB models, but if you'd prefer a snazzy red finish, it will be an extra $20.

At this price the Venue 8 is an impressive deal, mostly thanks to 2GB of RAM, which is hard to find in this range. The rest of the specs (Atom Z2580 processor, 1280x800 screen, 5MP rear camera) are pretty vanilla, but the tablet has been updated to Android 4.3 despite what Dell's product page says. The Android skin is surprisingly light - it's a lot less obtrusive than, say, a Galaxy Tab 3 that you might find in the same discounted price range.

The company i work for just purchased these to use, and I got one a few days ago. Unfortunately it has win 8.1 on it but in all it seems like a nice tablet. I didn't much care for windows phones or even win 8 on the laptop, but so far I'm pretty impressed with the tablet. its nice playing master of orion 2 on a touch screen without jumping through hoops to get it to work on android.

You're mistaking this with the Dell Venue 8 Pro, which is a Windows tablet. This is the Dell Venue 8 Android tablet. They are two different devices.

Dell Venue 8 Pro = Windows 8 Tablet
Dell Venue 8 = Android Tablet.

Doesn't seem to work with the 16GB version, only the 32GB

Ironically enough, I was just looking at the Venue 8 tonight at Fry's. Saw this post when I got home and ordered the 16gb unit. My total with tax and free delivery was $142. Ordered a fitted case on Amazon for $18. (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H1ZMS16)

I wish Dell would stop jerking customers around and just offer the Venue 8 at the discounted price. Maybe then I'll actually buy one.
