Last month the upgraded Butterfly S got the last version of Jelly Bean and the shiny new Sense 5.5 UI, and it looks like HTC's software team has worked their way to the original Butterfly model. Noted HTC leaker @LlabTooFer posted the over-the-air update screen this morning, and at least one blog showed the same software update going out in Malaysia yesterday. According to a Twitter reply, the Taiwanese variant is being updated as well.

The Butterfly is a 5-inch 1080p phone similar to the One X and its sequels, originally released in Japan and later sold in regional variants around the world. It's not clear exactly which territories are getting the OTA rollout this morning. The Butterfly was also modified for Verizon as the DROID DNA. The DNA isn't being updated at the moment - it just got Android 4.2.2 in December, and HTC says the American model will be going straight to KitKat 4.4 later this year.

The 500MB update (software version 3.15.707.4) adds all the standard 4.3 goodies, plus enhancements to HTC's proprietary camera and gallery apps. HTC Zoe can now create GIFs a la Auto Awesome, and the BlinkFeed home widgets now supports custom feeds from keywords or manual RSS input. If you're getting the OTA update, let your fellow HTC Butterfly owners know your location in the comments section.
