Shine-Thumb

The Misfit Shine is an activity tracker for people who are tired of bracelets. Sure, this nifty guy comes with a sports band, but it's easy to pop out and hang from a necklace strap, belt clip, or whatever your tracker-holding-method-of-choice happens to be. Now you can get one on Touch of Modern for just $70.

For comparison, Amazon, Apple, and Misfit are still selling the product at its usual retail price of $120. Best Buy, on the other hand, is willing to part with one for just $100. That isn't bad, just $30 more than what you can currently get the Shine for by jumping on this deal.

Now here's the thing with Touch of Modern - this deal ends January 7th at 12 PM PST, and you will need to sign up for a free account before viewing the site. After placing an order, the Shine may take anywhere from four to six weeks to arrive. Sure, things can and sometimes do arrive sooner, but the potential wait is something to keep in mind as you head for the link below.

Bertel King, Jr.
Born and raised in the rural South, Bertel knows what it's like to live without 4G LTE - or 3G, for that matter. The only things he likes sweeter than his tea are his gadgets, and while few objects burn more than a metal phone on a summer day, he prefers them that way anyway.

Looks like they finally got syncing working again on the Android app today. It's also $10 shipping, so at least for the jet black one, you're talking $80 (4-6 week shipping) at TOM or $99 (2 day prime shipping) at Amazon. That's a tougher call.

It is. I went ahead and ordered it anyway. Not in any rush, especially with the state of their android app.

I'm really glad I didn't back them at the time, but I hope they still manage to ship something eventually. I love the "planned" feature set.
