In a world where almost all tablets are boring black slabs, Lenovo is trying to make some headway with a different design. Now you can experience Lenovo's take on the tablet for $60 less than usual – the Yoga Tablet 8 is on sale for $189.99 at Best Buy today only. That's better than the last such deal.

The Yoga Tablet 8 has a neat little stand that can be used to prop it upright or position it at a comfortable incline. It's an interesting approach and would probably make for a very good kitchen tablet. The specs won't exactly rock your world, though. The Yoga Tablet 8 has a MediaTek quad-core processor, 16GB of storage, an 8-inch 1280x800 screen, and Android 4.2. It's a capable device, but not high-end.

This device is available with free shipping from Best Buy's website, but can also be picked up in many retail stores as fast as you can get there.

Just picked one up today. Had $30 in rewards, so it was a no-brainer. This tablet outperforms it specs. I love the build quality, the stand, and the speaker..... Funny story, after I bought it...left the store to find out my fiancé had already bought me one and was going to surprise me....now we both have one.

I forgot about battery life.... It's a game changer. Blows the galaxy note 8 I just got rid of completely out of the water. It was at 69% out the box 1 hour 6 minutes later 59% with non stop use... Setting up... Trying out YouTube Netflix games,.. And a system update.

18 hour battery life is no slouch. Just got mine as well.

If it were splash proof, I'd pick this up as a kitchen tablet. I love what Lenovo has done with the hinge stand thingy.

Kitchen specific tablets are the one thing I expected to see and hear a lot more about. Do you remember the Tandy 1000 RL computer? It had programs for recipes and grocery inventory and a digital cork board for leaving notes. It was probably the only computer to have ever received the Good Housekeeping seal of Approval.
