The holidays are a very special time for PC gamers, when they must make lightning decisions based on very little information and/or impulse shopping. Of course I'm talking about the Steam sale, and as awesome as Steam is for cheap games, it's bloody terrible for streaming game videos. This being the case, it's a good thing that the long-overdue GameTrailers app has finally landed on Android, and you don't have to rely on Steam's awful embedded trailers.

The video below makes no excuses for the fact that it's taken so long for the app to arrive on the world's most popular mobile platform. GameTrailers knows it's been a long time coming (here's an apologetic post from seven months ago about how sorry they are that it's taking so long), so it's a good thing that it's getting favorable reviews from early downloaders.

Naturally the GameTrailers app includes access to all the videos on the site, including new videos that are posted concurrently with their web counterparts. Trailers, reviews, and the popular shows that run on the web network are all included, and the extensive catalog can be filtered by platform, rating, video type, and upload time. The app is a free download for phones and tablets running Android 4.0 or later.
