Want a sweet deal on a Lenovo tablet? Well even if you don't, Best Buy is offering it, so pass this on to someone who does. Best Buy is offering significant discounts on both the unique Yoga Tablet 8 and the more conventional IdeaTab S6000. For today only, the 8-inch Yoga is $199.99 on the online store, a full $50 off. That's even better than the Lenovo perks site. The 10-inch S6000 is $239.99, $40 off of retail. Both are offered with free shipping or in-store pickup.

The Yoga Tablet is the more interesting choice here, thanks to its unique curved form factor and integrated kickstand that folds right into the body. If only the hardware inside was so inspired: a 1280x800 screen, 1.2Ghz MediaTek processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 5MP rear camera, and Android 4.2 aren't going to wow anyone who's tried a high-end tablet lately. The extra hump in the case reportedly boosts the battery life up to 18 hours, and the extra space makes room for dual front-facing speakers. The IdeaTab S6000 is even more generic, with nearly identical specs aside from a a 10-inch 1280x800 screen and 32GB of storage. There are certainly better tablets to be had at the retail prices, but these discounts push the tablets into the realm of consideration. Maybe that's why they're on sale.

As noted on Best Buy's page, both of these discounts are part of the retailer's "Deal Of The Day" program, which means they're likely to disappear tomorrow. If you want an interesting 8-inch tablet or a boring 10-inch tablet, get an order in today.

Dear Lenovo: Get better specs in the Yoga tablet. I love your form factor.
