OmniROM has only existed for a few weeks, but it's already gaining traction with certain groups (you know who you are). The first nightly builds of OmniROM based on Android 4.4 supported 15 devices, and today brings six more to the fold.

The newly supported devices are as follows:

  • Oppo N1
  • Sony Xperia T
  • Sony Xperia Z
  • Sony Xperia ZL
  • HTC One (AT&T)
  • HTC One (International)

OmniROM pulls in bits and pieces from various devices and ROMs to build something inclusive. It's pretty impressive out of the gate. If you're keen on trying out OmniROM, the nightly builds are in the neighborhood of 180MB.

Might want to adjust the name - it's Omnirom :D not onmirom... On My ROM? that's just sick and disgusting!

    Still no Galaxy Nexus :(

    • tilal6991

You find someone with a Galaxy Nexus to compile Omni and work with us or give a current maintainer one to work with and you'll have nightlies as soon as possible. It simply is not possible for people who don't have the device to build a ROM for it.

I have a galaxy nexus, let me know what I need to do and I will help.(maguro)

      • SickoPsycho

I've got a Galaxy Nexus and a dual Xeon build server with no-QOS fiber in/out available. I have been wanting to get in this game and am familiar with the Linux OS. Holla holla holla...

        • SickoPsycho

nevermind, I'll hit you up on XDA..

          • Jon Bonachon

          • SickoPsycho

You got any experience building Roms? I use the same handle on xda and frequent the gnex forums. Specifically FML ROM for toro gnex

          • Jon Bonachon

Not much, just built CM7, put on some cherry picks, but I'm willing to learn. Also I can try to test, etc. I'll contact you via XDA

The Galaxy Nexus is in fact, the very first device on their list of supported devices...?

      • SickoPsycho

sir, you are mistaken... It says Nexus 5, and Galaxy S on the same line, but they are in fact different phones.

        • PhoenixPath

          Wow. Damn.

Dunno man. *shakes head* Not sure how the heck I saw that when it wasn't actually there...

Fixed. The brain apparently has a few bugs I haven't worked out yet. ;-)

          • SickoPsycho

            Lol- it happens. =)

      • Al McDowall

Excellent dismount, 9.5 out of 10 for style

        • PhoenixPath

Well hey... If you're going to be wrong, be wrong with style.

BTW-anyone know that guy, Hugh Bris? If you see him, deck him for me would ya? That'd be great... I really owe him one... :-/

    • Baris Uraz

Nexus 10 or Galaxy S i9000 aren't available too. Sadly those are the only android devices I own :-(

Tried Omni on my gt-I9305 looks great but lost my imei every time I installed it. No problem with cm10.2 would love to have some kit kat goodness but I can't solve this.

I've read about that issue on XDA awhile back. It has something to do with the efs when you make your backups. I use online nandroid backup from the play store and it let's you nandroid without booting in recovery. You just have to make sure you back up your efs or manually find it and make a copy using root explorer. When you copy it, just save it somewhere so that you can paste it back in your new rom. If you need anymore help, feel free to email me at jnadz69 at Gmail dot com.

  • MezSolanki

I recently fixed my TF300 and can't wait for you to get KitKat on it. Before I bricked it I was using your CM ROMs.

    Still no note 3!

    • Aniel

The note 3 consists of the best hardware available. Sadly i cant say the same for the OS.

      • Steven Code

I need my Note 3 to be a Nexus device :/

  • Nerds Logic

Still no Galaxy Nexus (toro) huh?

  • matteventu

For who is asking about Galaxy Nexus:

"No maintainer has a Galaxy Nexus. Give us a Galaxy Nexus (or find a
maintainer with a Galaxy Nexus), and you'll have 4.4 nightlies."

[from OmniROM main thread on XDA]
