The Anomaly games are a really good time – even the preview build of Anomaly 2 we got to take a look at a few weeks ago was already excellent. Now the game has been fully optimized for Android and it's in the Play Store for your alien-blasting pleasure.

Anomaly 2 has the same reverse tower defense gameplay as the first two games, but now you've got some cool new vehicles that can transform. Each mode has its advantages, so it's up to you to make sure you choose the right tool for the job. There are still all those power ups to manage and the deep tactical control that made the first two games great.

The visuals have also been seriously cranked up this time around. The textures and lighting effects are amazing, and the overall level of detail is impressive. It comes at a price, though. The game is a big download, so get your WiFi warmed up. It can be yours for just $4.99.

Sweet mother of aliens! Going to see on my Nexus 4

  • Jared Morgan

Not that I will be refunding this title anytime soon, but with a download time of 32 minutes, is the 15 minute refund window really fair in today's market of huge additional content games?

    • Alan Shearer

15 minute windows starts after the download from google play finishes. and the game is installed (not counting third party downloads like ea does with real racing 3)

I make 1000000000 an hour as CEO of facebook, so whats your point? not impressed.

you are able to get a refund within 24 hours of purchasing if you contact google

      • Matthew Fry

I've found a (probably not) interesting tidbit. I purchased Kingdom Rush: Frontiers but I haven't actually installed it yet. The refund button is still there several days later. So, I guess if you are the type of person who regrets his purchases the next day, you could buy but not download.

  • Primalxconvoy

If there is no free demo, I'm not paying a dime for it. When will devs learn?

    • Matt Sokolinski

yet you can spend twice the amount on few pint of beer or pack of cigarettes which you will use up within less than a day...

      Moron

Just looked at your previous post.
If a game has IAP you fucking complain....
If a game doesnt have IAP you still fucking complain

You are the biggest asshole (or prolapse prehaps??) in the world

      • Primalxconvoy

As far as i can tell, abusive comments maketh the "@rsehole".

Regardless of your incorrect assumptions, you are right in that I hate aggressive iap's and that i think games that charge a full price should offer a free demo. I am not the only one, which is_ many services offer just that.

    • WhyWai

If you are worrying if your device can play it smoothly. there is a benchmark app for you to test.
IF you expecting a chunk of game for free before buying. maybe you can just go play some F2P with IAP nonsense...

      • Primalxconvoy

Incorrect. Traditionally, games usually have demos to show customers whether the game is worth buying or not. It's just common sense which is why even the 360, psn and other gaming services including Google play, offers them.

        • Matt Sokolinski

Console and PC games maybe but not mobile games .you need to get out and see more world before you make such assumptions

          • Primalxconvoy

Really? Because I've seen many apps at Google play offering demo versions of apps including the original version of this game.

Perhaps my eyes were deceiving me?

As for seeing more of the world; i live in a foreign country and_have travelled extensively. Which part were you referring to?

          • Matt Sokolinski

Any significant evidence where games have demo versions of their paid counterparts? I cannot find any.
For a game that costs £5 it is not worth spending extra time and resources (compatibility updates etc) when there is no profit form it ....

          • Primalxconvoy

Anomaly - 493 Yen in Japan

            Anomaly Lite - free

Mixzing audio player er - 400 yen_in Japan

            Mixzing player - free

            Would you like more proof?

          • Matt Sokolinski

            1. A part from anomaly you have not mentioned any other games....
            2. you are pointing on Japanese market, bare in mind 90% of the stuff in japan doesn't leave that country. Phones are different, people are different for example you get more RPG games because thats what people play there....
            3. Free app doesn't mean its a demo. It could be a fully functional app with ads rather than user paying for it (e.g Angry Birds, Candy Crush Saga, Dead Trigger etc).

            So one more time....
A part from Cordy (which is sort of a demo), give me other examples of games that have demo and full version. and I would like link as a reference

          • Primalxconvoy

            Matt Sokolinski

            1. A part from anomaly you have not mentioned any other games....

            - This is irrelevant. Mobile games are apps and as such using apps for this discussion is perfectly acceptable.

            2. you are pointing on Japanese market, bare in mind 90% of the stuff in japan doesn't leave that country. Phones are different, people are different for example you get more RPG games because thats what people play there....

            - The region is irrelevant. Regardless, all of the apps mentioned previously are not native to Japan. Mentioning rpgs and your other points doesn't seem to have any bearing on this discussion.

            3. Free app doesn't mean its a demo. It could be a fully functional app with ads rather than user paying for it (e.g Angry Birds, Candy Crush Saga, Dead Trigger etc).

            - A free game, which also has a paid version is essentially a free way to try the app or game, which is similar or the same to a demo version.

            So one more time....
A part from Cordy (which is sort of a demo), give me other examples of games that have demo and full version.

            - You have already rather helpfully mentioned angry birds, with some iterations having free and paid versions.

... and I would like link as a reference.

            - you are very welcome to find those yourself. Google is your friend.

  • jeffrey beck

These are hands down the most polished games on Android. Only let down is that they are pretty short with no replay value

    • Michael Fontenot

Someday you'll look back and play it again. Once you have it in your Google account it's yours forever.

      • Damak9

Unfortunately, that's not true. Developers can remove apps at will (yes even paid ones).

Happened to me with USB BT 8. The developer removed it from the play store to make way for his brand new USB BT Gold, that he sells for the same price.

        From Google:
In some cases, apps and games can be removed from Google Play by a developer or for policy reasons. If an item has been removed, it won’t be available for download.

        • JonJJon

Just one more reason to by these when they come to Humble Bundle :)

        • Primalxconvoy

Just back them up and save them to Dropbox?

  • Alice

Look at the gameplay screenshot. Wow, the graphic is incredibly amazing!

  • Harsha

Should I be playing Part 1 and Korea Part before playing this? In terms of the story?

  • ChainsawCharlie

Awesome. Anomaly games are one of the few TD games that I can tolerate.

  • Erfan

Damn it's not compatible with my i9100, wait whaa?!

  • Ibrahim Awwal

Sadly I've been trying to download this all day and it hasn't been working, anyone else have this problem? I don't see the charge on my credit card so maybe it just didn't charge correctly and now it's not authorized? Weird situation, maybe I shouldn't have bought it right when it went up.
