Samsung's new Galaxy Note 10.1 is not an budget-oriented device – the 32GB version of this stylus-packing tablet is retailing for $600 before tax. A deal currently running on eBay knocks $30 off the price and includes free shipping and no tax (unless you live in Maryland). That makes it a bit more reasonable, depending on where you live.

2013-11-07 11_43_24-Samsung Galaxy Note 10 1 2 2014 Edition 32GB Tablet Black 2nd Generation _ eBay

This is a new tablet, not an open box or refurb model. It will ship free, and there is only tax in Maryland. So if you live in a state where Amazon collects taxes, this could save you more than $30. For example, it's about $80 in upfront savings for California buyers.

The Note 10.1 2014 Edition has a 2560x1600 screen, Exynos 5 Octa ARM chip, 3GB of RAM, and the same faux-leather back texture from the Note 3. It might not be a perfect tablet, but your options are limited when it comes to devices with a stylus.

I love mine! You will not be disappointed! :D

  • Brad

I have to say that the stylus situation is nice on the surfaces... They have me working on one at work and drawing on it is pretty cool. Otherwise it's rubbish haha

  • Mariolego Carboro

No other company on the face of this planet can beat Samsung build quality and expertise. will buy 5 of these puppies.

    • jonathan3579

Not sure if serious or not...

    • Jeff718

      Nice try, Samsung rep.

      • Mariolego Carboro

And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!

    Correction:

"It might not be a perfect tablet, but your options are limited when it comes to _any modern Android 10" tablets since Google won't get off their rear and update the N10_."

Who has that much money to spend on a freaking tablet? I'd rather buy some stocks and watch that money grooooooow

    • StriderWhite

I'll buy some socks and watch my foot groooooow!

      • Sean Cummins

        Hey that's not a foot.

  • jonathan3579

As much as I love the idea of owning a tablet, I just can't bring myself to spend this much on one.

  • Andy Stetson

Plus you get Twitter for tablet!! All for $569!!

    • StriderWhite

      a deal is a deal!

  • Ibrahim Awwal

This is actually really tempting for me as an owner of last year's Note 10.1, but I want to wait for the LTE version. a) it has Snapdragon instead of Exynos, which might prove to be easier to port AOSP to, and b) T-Mobile's new 200MB free tablet data plans are actually pushing me towards buying LTE tablets from now on.

    • JJCommonSense

Is T-mobile getting the Note 2014??

  • master94

$569. WTF is Samsung thinking. You can get a similar tablet for half that

    • Wazzifer

      No you can't, you dweeb.

      • master94

Yes you can. Try Lenovo. You will see several that offer similar hardware and stylus options. And they start at around $300. No need to be a blind Samsung fan boy.

        • Wazzifer

Does it offer the S-Pen? No. Shut the fuck up then.

          • master94

You do realize that you can buy the s-pen separately and use it with any tablet by running a touchwiz based rom. So if that is your only reason for buying the note, you really are over paying than. And please try to control your language. We are all civilized Android fans here. Please try to act mature.

          • http://royblumenthal.com/portfolio royblumenthal

No. The S-pen is a Wacom-based stylus. It works AS AN S-PEN only on devices with a screen that supports it. It may work as a STYLUS on a Galaxy S4, but it WILL NOT WORK as an S-pen.

          • Wazzifer

I would try to control my language if you actually knew what you're talking about, but you don't. You're just being an elitist know it all jerk.

      • lifeisgoodforme

lol Samsung fanboys are as bad as isheep now.

      • lolipopguild

can't tell if stupid or joking.

    • hot_spare

I will be interested to know about such a tablet. Only reason I am waiting is price.

  • Chippah

just got one the one day, CRUSHES the Nexus 10 it replaced in all ways.

  • Wazzifer

This was the first Android device to ever disappoint me. I returned two of them and decided to keep the money.

    • thushan

      • Wazzifer

Would you please learn some spelling and grammar before you start spewing shit on the internet? Thank you.

        • thushan

language has nothing to do with this, the thing is that can u name a tab that can give all these performances :P

          • Wazzifer

If you can't write proper English, you shouldn't be able to have a tablet in your hand to begin with. Go back to school.

          • thushan

sir if you can't mention another tab which can beat Samsung
galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition, please stop criticizing it and try to talk only
subject relevant matters , because this is not your personal face book chat

          • Wazzifer

It's a shitty tablet, whether you like it or not. The specs are on paper only, that's all. The software is buggy as shit, the build quality is faulty to a ridiculous degree. Take a look at XDA and you'll see how many people are complaining about how awful the build quality is, and how laggy your precious tablet is. For $650 tablet I wouldn't expect anything less than perfect. Fucking Samsung fanboys.

          • thushan

Ha! Ha! Although you complain about this tab, still you are
unable to name a tablet that can beat the performances of Samsung galaxy note
            10.1 2014 edition :D

By the way this is the lightest, thinnest
and smoothest tab you can ever find in the present tablet market and the leather like back cover is awesome than the ugly metal covers, it is unique

Also I have to say that no one cares about your XDA guys because the tablet must suit to the tablet owner and not for any other guys. The software may be a little bit puzzle but remember they are getting updated continuously so no need
            to worry.

  • Art Malone

Amazing tablet. Worth the regular price all day long. Jump on this while you can or you'll regret it,

  • Michael

Better yet, buy directly during black friday from Samsung and only pay 549.99 for the 32gb. Free shipping and no sales tax. Better deal, more money in my pocket.

  • Beagle

This tablet by far is one of the most advanced tablet on the market. To compare it even to an Ipad it not even fair. However, with that being said, I find it hard to justify over $500 for a tablet. I've owned the original Asus TF101 Transformer, then the TF300, and now have a Note 10.1 (2013). I realize that the 2014 version have faster hardware, a beautiful screen, and the improvement of Spen. It's still hard to justify the upgrade cost. If I sell mine, I would fetch about $250 for it. I would have to spend another $300+ for an upgrade. Clearly not worth it for me at this time. However, when this device goes sub $400, I will buy it.

    HI All,
Got the new Samsung Tablet 2014 edition16gb wifi "non 4g version" from Harvey Norman with the octo core 4 big 4 small. Big brother to the SGNote3 fone. Similar great points EXCEPT !!!!
    Problems encountered thus far......
    Phone boots twice at power-on.
    Slow charging.
Sluggish performance compared to quad core SG note 3 phone.
Samsungs NEW Video app struggles to display videos and stops after playing a few frames and you have to re-hit the play button to get it restarted.
This video app struggles to show all videos "in play motion" grid mode when viewing large list of video files. This was a cinch for SG note 3 fone. The options to view individual folder/file lists is primitive to say the least.
Seems either the 8 Octo core tablet doesn't have the grunt to run the new video app or the Samsung video app is so poorly written if you don't have the grunt it runs poorly. Anyway they are both Samsung products.
It could just be that the app and the new tablet have not been optimised to work with an octo core cpu. ???
Given VIDEO playing is one of the most relevant stock standard apps of this tablet you would've thought they would get it right !!!
Who knows but Samsung. Typically they have failed somewhere in the rush to market... Maybe 6 months down the track they will put out an update that may address the above fails.
Anyway its excellent for reading a book. But then you would expect that wouldn't you !!!!!
So the screen is excellent !!!
Ps As correctly noted by reviewers previously this wifi only tablet does not have the capability to actually play the Extra High Def videos ie. 4K'ish videos that the SG Note3 phone can produce.

For those of you out there who want it, I was able to pick mine up thanksgiving night for 379$ @ H.H gregg, I think you can still, as of last night, get them on there site for 479$. I have owned the last 2 samsung came out with, I'm on it as we speak. I love everything thing about it. I have 2 I pads 4 & a 5, I just retired my 5 after 2 was with this. This doesn't mean it's for everyone. I wouldn't go back, just as some wouldn't change. Tomato tomotos,. H.H gregg only sells it in white, I'm pretty sure. I'm in Miami, when I bought mine, I still had to wait 3 days for it. Every store within 400 miles, here to Tampa Bay SOLD OUT, in one night before 12 midnight. They opened @ 6 p.m Thanksgiving night.....but pllleeennnttyyy of iPad s in stock. Even the case for these were on backorder until last week, across the U.S. Steve Jobs needs to pick up his latest Apple & put it back in the tree, this Apple 5 clearly fell a far cry from Samsung s Ripe Ready to Pick Maturely Rooted product this seaon. Happy Holidays to all out there. Except for those finding a Rotten apple under there tree.

    Bradical, Miami.
