When the latest version of Android starts rolling out, it's well-known that the vast majority of devices out there will never get updated. It's not the best situation, but it's one that at this point in time, many of us go into knowingly. So you LG Intuition owners out there, you already know you're not going to see KitKat come to your device, but at least you will finally now be able to leave Ice Cream Sandwich behind. The latest OTA update will bump your handset up to Jelly Bean - the first one, as in Android 4.1.

Most of the other changes won't get anyone excited. Yahoo! Weather is now Accuweather, a few UI enhancements are sprinkled throughout, and a handful of Verizon's preloaded apps have been updated. On the other hand, some apps and widgets have been removed.

We don't know when the OTA will hit your phone, but you can probably safely anticipate that it will arrive in the next couple of days.

    you accidentally a word there.

It's hilarious how this phone I won (LG Mach) will likely never get past Ice Cream Sandwich. It's had one update in an entire year.

For the whole 2 people that bought this abomination.

LG has come a looooooooong way.

    • TylerChappell

If't it wasn't for Google giving them the Nexus opportunities, all of LG's phones would still be in this sad state of affairs, desperately clinging to Samsung's every move, and getting software updates a year behind, if at all.

Abomination? I had this phone for two years, just got rid of it in April and it was the best phone I ever had! Fantastic for surfing the web and reading. I know have an LG G3, which I also love, but everything looks smaller on it and it took some getting used to. I still use my Intuition on WiFi every night in bed to check my mail and do a little reading before I turn in. Great phone that would still be my main phone if my hubby didn't get me the G3.

That's great, but now how about throw some 4.1 love to the LG Lucid. Stupid LG. Stupid Verizon.

No small picture frame that sucks can we please get that back???????

  • Jenn Mackay

Yeah!!! My phone is running much more smoothly now. Hopefully, I'll stop obsessing about the Note 3 for a while.

Good, I am using both but I got vu p985 after note 3 buying..its great device...most amazing aspect is that no one has in Pakistan.its so unique... Note 3 can be seen at every corner.

The Update screwed up several things on my phone. The Wi-Fi won't work, the Font on my phone totally changed by itself , the toggle widget no longer has Wi-Fi as one of the options. Has anyone else had problems like this?

    • Leon

It's the worst update: awful font, crash apps, verizon backup assistant, safety pattern for unlocking the phone most of the time don't work, Account and Sync changed to a list of all accounts

  • Ryan Moody

My intuition wont update. I keep trying to maunally update to jelly bean but it keeps giving me an error. It wont even do it over wifi. Can someone tell me why.
