Assuming you don't live under a rock, you probably know the Nexus 5 launched on the Play Store last Thursday. In the US, Google's newest handset will cost you $350 for the 16GB model, and $400 for the more capacious 32GB variant. The launch went relatively smoothly, though stock of the 16GB Nexus 5 quickly evaporated - for the black version, within minutes - and latent purchasers of the 32GB version are now in for a weeks-long wait before enjoying the sweet embrace of KitKat.

unnamed (2)

That begs the question, of course, for this weekend's poll: did you (or were you able to) buy a Nexus 5? I've tried to provide a pretty broad set of options, so please read each answer carefully if you're feeling left out, and as always, elaborate in the comments section below.

Did you (or were you able) to buy a Nexus 5?

Please note that our weekend poll options paint in broad strokes for a reason, and that reason is not granular scientific precision. More options means more clutter, fewer voters, and less practically useful results. We keep polls simple because we want you, our readers, to be able to answer and interpret them at a glance. While we always welcome suggestions, please keep this in mind.

  • Mkvarner

No, because it costs 760 dollars in Norway for the 32 GB.

  • phyl0x

most of us VZW galaxy nexus owners are waiting for our contracts to expire in mid december to ditch them and move to the nexus 5.

    • Hothfox

My contract doesn't expire until March, and I bought one; it shipped this morning. That way, I don't have to wait until March and see that they're having stock issues. After watching the Nexus 4 launch, I figured I'd try and get one right away to make sure I actually had it waiting for me in March.

      • cy_n_ic

What is this con-tract? Sounds like a scam ;p

        • NinoBr0wn

          Yup. Straight up pyramid scheme.

    • Aleksey_US

Mine expires in Feb, bought 2 N5's with tomorrow's delivery. Selling 2 VZW Galaxy Nexi and the money I'll save on Aio Wireless (AT&T towers) will pay for them. Screw the early term fees they can have it.

      • Gabernasher

Ditching Verizon and paying the ETF pays itself off very quickly, as their rates are way overinflated.

  • Brian Hall

Seems bad planning to announce a phone, sell out in minutes, and then quote 3-4 *week* delivery times.

    • Haunter

It's better than getting confirmation, thinking you're in the 1st round, then having your order pushed back 6 weeks. (**See Nexus 4 launch**)

    • Aleksey_US

It DID NOT sell out in minutes if you've paid attention it was at least available for close to 2+ hours aftrer launch. In my opinion this is the best Nexus Phone launch they've had with severs and wallet holding up to the frenzy.

      • Julio M

It's always the same story though: Nexus phones are clearly not trying to beat the competition in and out of the android ecosystem. If Google believed a little more in its costumers, they would be producing enough phones for a a week, at the very least. These are not tickets for a Google I/O. I don't understand why they ship so few.

  • eindbaas

I bought the 32GB via a German friend.

  • tyguy829

Where's the "No, because verizon is full of idiots"

    • Mathias Kenting

Bro, do you even T-Mobile master race?!

      • tyguy829

Man, T-mobile is awesome. I would switch to them in an instant, except i currently get unlimited talk, text, data on verizon for $20 a month through work. Can't exactly turn that down.

        • n0th1ng_r3al

My friend scored unlimited everything through some sort of family plan. $10 a month by joining a friend. I'm extremely jealous.

        • Miah

T-Mobile in the UK is shit.

          • JonJJon

As is Orange. EE as a whole is becoming the Verizon of the UK. I look forward to being rid of Orange and EE once and for all next year......which is still too long lol

          • Louis Ditzel

I'm on Three, and they are fantastic, get great coverage where I live, properly unlimited data and I'll get a free upgrade to 4G come the roll out (with my new Nexus 5 ofc) in December

          • Michael Sheils

Used to like three but they kept pissing me off with little things, switched to GiffGaff and I'm over the moon.

          • Cristian Borsa

            Are they getting 4G?

          • george

Yeah, 300kb in bedroom, And if I go into the kitchen no signal at all, like inside most building in central London, really fantastic.

          • JonJJon

Yeah I put my mum and my sister onto Three and they are going good with it. My best friend went to Three as well and also recommends them. I've been on my second contract with Orange for 12 months now and have another 12 months left but I hope to terminate it a few months early without much of a fee, and yes I'll be moving to Three with the Nexus "6" by that point :)

          • mesmorino

How so? I've been with them for a few years now, They don't give me any issues. EE is a whole different issue though

        • WestIndiesKING

I would work at your job simply for the celluar discount

          • Steve Williamson

go work for a phone company. pretty sure all give you free contracts limited everything!

        • http://www.facebook.com/lucyparanormal Daniel Tiberius

True, but you can get a Nexus 5 as a secondary device for $30 a month prepaid on T-Mobile. At that point you're still only paying $50 a month.

          • http://www.microwav3d.com/ Mihir Garikiparithi

Really? and that doesn't have any up-front costs? Do all carriers have this option?

          • http://www.facebook.com/lucyparanormal Daniel Tiberius

You have to pay for the phone outright, but I'm using that plan now. It's great.

        • Max Geier

I'd say Vodafone Germany is the King

          • http://www.microwav3d.com/ Mihir Garikiparithi

Wind beats all. I am planning to switch soon. Unlimited Canada wide talk, international text, nationwide data, voicemail, caller Id, all for just $50. Per month.

          • mesmorino

Seriously? Is that available in all Provinces/Territories? I've got some friends who would be very interested in that

          • http://www.microwav3d.com/ Mihir Garikiparithi

No. But here is their coverage map. Hope that helps :)

          • mesmorino

          • Roh_Mish

Sonis Vodafone here in India. Never an issue for me.

    • n0th1ng_r3al

My friend had unlimited data from when Verizon first began to offer it. He was extremely pissed off that the Nexus 4 ad 5 didn't come to Verizon so he just switched and bought a Nexus 5 and is going with T-Mobile unlimited data. He would rather have a Nexus than the coverage of Verizon.

      • iandouglas

I bought the Vzw Galaxy Nexus and paid their ETF and switched back to TMo 5 months later when I got the GSM model of the GNex instead. I should have never left TMo in the first place, but I got on a great unlimited 4G plan with 500 minutes. Taxes and fees included, I pay $64/month. Even paying the ETF, because my Verizon plan was $111/mo, I was money ahead by the end of what would have been the last day of my Vzw contract. I'll never go back to them as a customer.

        • Sankyou

We both kind of did similar things. Well I switched from TMobile to VZ to get the Nexus. Returned the Nexus for a Razr Maxx and now wish I had just stuck with TMobile. Bought the Nexus 5 and will be switching to TMobile on January 5th, when my contract expires. I will be paying $150 total for two phones with the Jump plan on both and no contract, of course. I could go lower but my wife and I are subsidized for $140/mo.

      • jnt

I'm waiting for my number to finish porting from Verizon as we speak. Hopefully it happens in the morning (started a few hours ago), my N5 arrives tomorrow afternoon supposedly. Porting *into* Verizon is much faster than porting *from* Verizon to Tmo's prepaid evidently.

Worst case scenario, if I know I'm going to travel, I'll drop by a Walmart and pickup a cheap Verizon prepaid for emergency coverage...

        • Roh_Mish

It never should take that lomg. They pourposely do it. 2 Hours max.

          • jnt

I called this morning and there was an initial rejection (petty mistake in the request). I now have dual service, so I know for sure it's in process. But it's still been a few hours now...

    • Andy Stetson

I guess this is the poll for that!

  • Nathan

No Play Store devices in the Netherlands! Why Google?

    • Mathias Kenting

It shouldn't be that difficult selling in all of the EU once they already sell devices from the Play Store in Germany, France, Spain, Italy and UK.

      • Mic

No Nexus available at all, since begining... in Belgium, same in the Netherlands.... quite frustated about that.need trick by buying it thru other country. I hope it willbe available soon, i need a new phone and i want a n5

      • Laurentiu

        Actually it is difficult.

You need to have an address (residence) in one of these countries and also a bank card emitted from that country.

I know this because I live in a non-selling devices Google Play country and tried to purchase the Nexus devices before (with the help of a proxy - VPN).

I was able to do it with help of a friend that lives in a country where you can buy devices from Google Play after I used her address and credit card. I had to pay extra for one more delivery...

I've ordered the 32GB black N5 Thursday and Saturday I received the email of delivery. Hopefully Wednesday I will get my N5.

        • SetiroN

He said selling, not buying. He was talking about google and he's especially right when you consider they have a single warehouse for all of Europe.

        • Mathias Kenting

I know, I tried it too. But it goes against the free and open market of the Union.

    • darren_disqus

We don't have Play Store devices in Ireland but i managed to get a 32GB White one from the UK Store I used a VPN + I have a UK Postcode that diverts back to my address in Ireland...

      • Fellwalker

Strange when my confirmation of despatch says:
        Purchased from:
        Google Commerce Ltd
        Gordon House, Barrow Street
        Dublin 4
Sorry,I forgot that is just a tax (dodge) saving strategy.

        • darren_disqus

Not strange as Google's European HQ is in Dublin so as Irish Tax is low Everything is sold out of Dublin. Google don't like to pay a lot of tax and my confirmation was also the same as yours...

          • Gabernasher

If you could legally pay less tax would you not? Or do you love the taxman?

          • darren_disqus

            Nope I'd do the same.

          • Fellwalker

OK, I'm confused. I said strange because you said you don't have play store devices in Ireland, whereas the devices are shipped from Ireland. They really are tax evaders.

          • darren_disqus

They're not shipped from Ireland but sold from Ireland. (Because of Tax) From what I understand the phones are been shipped from the UK, Holland and Germany...

          • Fellwalker

thanks Darren. Google's tax evasion is worse than I thought. I've just got my tracking code, and the first item it shows is mysteriously appearing in the UK04-11-201300:14National Hub
            Received and processed

    • Sven Joy

Funny thing that my Nexus 5 to Düsseldorf in Germany got shipped from the netherlands, and you guys aren't able to buy it there.

      • Laurentiu

Strange. I ordered a 32GB N5 from Germany and the phone was shipped from Dublin, Ireland...

        • SetiroN

That's the legal address, if you track the package on UPS' website you'll see it was dispatched from Holland.

          • RitishOemraw

So what exactly is the address of the warehouse I need to raid?
Sheesh I'll just pick one as to not upset other eager Nexus 5 enthousiasts :P

          • Zeshan Ahmed

            Google Commerce Ltd
            Gordon House, Barrow Street
            Dublin 4
            GB 117 313 544

          • RitishOemraw

No the one allegedly in Holland.

        • Tom

Google HQ for Europe is in Dublin / Ireland and you can't get the N5 there. ..funny is it's not even possible to get N4 either.

    • SetiroN

That's weird, considering the European google warehouse is in Eindhoven :

    • http://www.facebook.com/lucyparanormal Daniel Tiberius

No worries dude, buy 2 of them and mail them to me and I'll mail yours to you free of charge!

  • http://www.ScienceProUSA.com SciencePro

Surprised the 32GB is so much more popular. I find I rarely fill up my devices and opted to go with the 16GB.

    • Guest

We're a bunch of android nerds, gotta have the latest and the biggest!!

      • http://www.ScienceProUSA.com SciencePro

If there was a bigger battery or anything else better in the 32 I totally would have gone for it, otherwise I'll keep the $50.

        • thas ★

Completely agree with this. I like extra storage, but it isn't worth the extra $50 alone for me personally.

          • Robert Landrum

Agreed. Even on my N4, I still have 10GB left. That includes Titanium Backups and Nandroids. I've got a mp3 player for music. Yes, they still make those. lol

          • http://www.facebook.com/lucyparanormal Daniel Tiberius

What do you use for an mp3 player?

I insist on using a smartphone now for music. I like live scrobbling to last.fm.

          • MindFever

Well,I find 5-6gb of music is more than enough. ..so I opted for the 16gb.

          • http://www.facebook.com/lucyparanormal Daniel Tiberius

I've been known to fill up my 64GB microSD card with music, so I won't be using a Nexus 5 for music mostly.

          • Sankyou

Not into Google Music? Don't get me wrong I prefer having external storage as well but Google Music has mostly eliminated my audio worries.

          • http://www.facebook.com/lucyparanormal Daniel Tiberius

I am, but I can't get it to sound as good as PowerAmp.

          • Sankyou

Oh nice I'll have to take a look at that. Another option that you may like is Subsonic. You host your own music but the app has more functionality than Google Music and supports other users, FLAC playback, etc. It has been around for some time and it is very solid: subsonic.org

          • http://www.facebook.com/lucyparanormal Daniel Tiberius

I had trouble getting the server working on Subsonic. I might fiddle with it again though.

          • Ezzy

Quit using Last.fm after their security disaster ~2 years back. :( Nice service though. Google Music All Access and Soundcloud for me, haven't had music on-device for years.

          • Gabernasher

You only used 2.5 gigs? That's impressive.

    • Crispin Swickard

I was only going to get a 16, but it was sold out first, so I had to get a 32.

      • Mathias Kenting

Wow, that's some first world problems you got there!

    • Chris Caldwell

I dont either, but Im planning on keeping the phone for 4-5 years, and it was only $50 more. If it were $100 more I wouldnt have.

      • cy_n_ic

5 years!? We should all have google glass built into our heads from birth by then

        • grumpyfuzz

Only idiots will get technology installed in their actual heads, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happens.

          • Johan Bjäreholt

If it would be running Windows then i wouldn't either.
If it would be all open source, i would maybe consider it.
            Stay cool, use linux

          • grumpyfuzz

I wouldn't get technology installed in my head, no matter who made it or what it software it was running. Or whatever it would be doing in our heads...

        • Mark Coppock

Although I share your exuberance and confidence in the continued advancement of technology, I doubt that I'll have anything built into my head from birth at any point in the future. Unless time travel is one of the things that's invented, and if so, just imagine the paradoxes involved.

        • http://www.modminecraft.com/ Nick Coad

I'm assuming you're already born, so are you suggesting we'll also have time travel in 5 years?

          • cy_n_ic
          • http://www.modminecraft.com/ Nick Coad

            Good call!

      • ncs

That's what i thought when I bought the Galaxy Nexus.. Look how far that got me..

        • Chris Caldwell

gnex got a bit of a shaft. Its not dead, and actually you got a rom NOW that runs 4.4 well, but still it would have been nice to get it official. That said, its had 2 years service and was one of the early phones in the line. Its a learning process, and the gnex had more than just this as an issue, such as samsung and verizon fighting for slower updates, etc. That all seems to be worked out since then (largely by samsung and verizon just going away). Keep in mind, also, that as phones get bigger they will last longer. The difference between 512GB and 3 years later 2GB is WAY more than 2GB now, and probably 4GB in 3 years. I would expect every mobile OS in 5 years to run just fine on today's hardware. Its like with computers. When I was in High School you upgraded you computer almost completely every year or two. You had to because the hardware couldnt keep up with the software. Ive had basically the same computer now for 6 years and its still a beast, because todays desktop hardware is more than needed. Same with phones. The industry has matured quite a bit.

          • ncs

you make a good point there. let's hope it gets validated as time goes by ;)

          • http://www.modminecraft.com/ Nick Coad

The Galaxy Nexus got shafted? Come on, they supported the phone for two years with all updates, and the phone still works beautifully, you just won't get further OS updates. How can you possibly consider that getting the shaft? The Galaxy Nexus has had its time and did really well, but eventually you're gonna have to upgrade and 2 years is a damn good length for a device's life these days.

They're not sending out some update to permanently disable all Galaxy Nexus phones, they're just no longer updating the software.

And I say all this as a Galaxy Nexus owner who loves the phone.

        • Chris Caldwell

If your all bent out of shape over the 2yo gnex not being updated, regardless of the non-google legitimate reasons for it, be glad you dont have some non-nexus phone. After paying 2-3x nexus prices, Verizon HTC owners STILL dont have 4.3, which has been delayed indefinitely, and thats THIS YEAR's phone! 6 months after I bought my htc amaze 4g on tmobile it was retired completely with ICS. SIX MONTHS!!! That meant I paid for it for a year and a half AFTER it had been deemed obsolete! And samsung? forget it. Some of their phones are just now getting 4.2! And all of that is completely arbitrary, simply because the OEM's didnt want to support it any longer. At least Google has good reason why they arent releasing an update, not just "we want to retire your phone so youll buy a new one".

    • n0th1ng_r3al

Mine is mostly filled with Nandroid backups.

      • Phillip Bee

I used to also. Switched to Helium for my app back ups and now store that part in clouds. Has saved me on time and space.

        • LessthanZach

I'll have to look into Helium. I've been using a combo of Titanium for apps and Nandroids for system. Thanks for the suggestion.

      • Sankyou

I went 32gb just because I'm lazy and who knows...I do recommend FolderSync together with your favorite free cloud service for nandroids. Paid some guy in China $10 and I have 1tb of uncapped space on copy.com for life.

        • n0th1ng_r3al

I want to know about the guy in China and $10 for a TB

        • Robotica

I'd like to know about the Chinese dude as well

    • Luckbuckets

I thought about the 16 but got the 32. This will give me more space to consider bigger games and Photos and video and everything else.

    • ProvoAggie

I have a Galaxy Nexus right now that is 16GB...it has 11GB free. I went with the 16GB this time around. I really don't use storage on my phone. If I didn't have a separate MP3 player I would have gone bigger though.

      • Robert Landrum

Agreed. I have an mp3 player because I also listen to local radio and I'll be damned if Im going to use my data for that when I can plug into a little 2 inch by 2 inch square and get it for free. 16GB is more than plenty.

    • ltredbeard

It just depends on how you use your device/how clean you keep it. Imagine those who keep music on their devices for those times w/o data or to conserve data.

    • drewfus0929

A 32gb emmc filled to 50%, will run substantially better then a 16gb emmc filled to 80%. That alone is enough for me.

      • http://www.ScienceProUSA.com SciencePro

        • angel_spain

That's how this kind of memory works, they get slower the more filled they are.

          • kirk

That is true, the random write speeds become very slow as the emmc space gets filled. It's the same for every phone or tablet.

Or rather that WAS true. Until android 4.3 fixed it :)

With the 4.3 update google created a small routine that runs every 24 hours or so (when sleeping and/or charging during a time of minimal usage) that actually restores performance back to optimal/orginal performance.

Rest assured, there is will be no performance hit because you bought the 16 gig model.

          • LessthanZach

That particular feature is called TRIM is it not? Basically gets rid of the need for cataloging the structure of files on the emmc.

          • Ygor Vaz

almost that. When you delete/move/rename/copy files, the catalog starts to get messy. TRIM basically reorganizes it.

          • Tim Eddy

think of it as running "disk defrag" on windows with out having to run it

    • WestIndiesKING

i agree with you but i still wanted a 32GB one because there are times where i may want to put a few movies or something my phone. Also im guessing games and apps in general are going to get bigger so figured the extra space couldnt hurt

    • Eric Jones

I got it because I'm lazy. I can easily manage with only 16GB, but I have to pay attention to what I'm doing and decide what I need and don't need. 32GB allows me to ignore this for much longer. Between games, music, movies, and pictures/video from the camera, I can fill 16GB pretty quick. I have 32GB in my phone right now, and I really enjoy the flexibility of the extra space. That being said, I wouldn't have done it if it was any more than $50. I hate how much they mark up storage, and $50 is where I draw the line.

      • Haunter

Agreed. I'm often one who will defend Google's non SD movement and push for the cloud. I do feel 16Gb is certainly survivable... but I'm big on music. I find myself repinning music from All Access every couple of days. Double the space for more music will be a plus.

        • Matt

Yeah, I unpin music/delete TiBu backups and video files fairly regularly with 16GB. I've been fine with the Nexus 4, but the piece of mind that 32GB brings is pretty nice. I just hope it doesn't turn into the same problem I have with hard drives.

          320 GB?...impossible to fill up-->4 days later-->it's full

2 TB?...alright, this time there's no way I could fill this up--->1 week later-->ok, do I delete the 4 seasons of Battlestar Galactica in 720p or the entire James Bond Collection in 1080p?

    • bitbank

I take lots of videos of the kids and that fills up the memory very quickly.

i went 32 gig this go around, because with my16g nexus 4, i've got so much shit backed up and i'm running out of room. i've got paranoid android rom, cyanogen rom, aokp rom and avatar rom. i'm a vagina.

    • http://www.facebook.com/lucyparanormal Daniel Tiberius

hell I'd have gotten a 64GB one if they made it.

    • Theromz

Got a couple of gb's of photos, then some music, games, and space for my roms/back ups. I find I'm almost at the limit with 16gb and I have to constantly delete/move things so 32gb will be very welcome.

    • http://www.ryanburke.co.uk/ Ryan Burke

I have an unlimited 4G data plan, pay for Spotify premium and Netflix, and all my documents are stored in Google Drive. 16GB is more than enough for me.

    • Tony Bombardo

Surprised me a bit too... I don't think I'll regret getting the 16, but that damn poll just had to put a seed of doubt in my head...

    • MindFever

      Same here !! :)

  • anon

    waiting for nexus 10

  • Chris

There is no option "I bought both colors"

    • http://www.androidpolice.com/ David Ruddock

There is no option about colors, period.

      • Aaron Berlin

I suggest adding a note to each poll: "Polls are merely intended to be a high-level abstraction of reader opinions, and are only reflective of a single moment in time. If you wish to provide further granularity, please utilize the comments section below."

        • http://www.androidpolice.com/ David Ruddock

          Not a bad idea.

      • RitishOemraw

        And whose fault is that?

    • mLogician

Yes I did the same :)

  • Richard Holland

Pulled the trigger on the g2 instead

    • motoridersd

I am still considering the G2. If the Nexus 5 does not deliver, I might have to replace it.

      • mesmorino

Other than price, there is no reason to choose the N5 over the G2. The larger battery alone pays for itself

        • motoridersd

This is true. I'm going to let there be more development on the G2 before jumping on one. Last time I checked Loki was not working on the T-Mobile version yet. A locked bootloader puts me off, but with a workaround, it's doable. I was almost ready to buy a brand new White G2 T-Mo on Craigslist for $475. Not a bad price at all.

          • ins0mn1a

wait, are you saying the t-mo G2 has a locked bootloader? that's bad, i didn't know t-mobile started locking them as well.

          • motoridersd

I haven't been able to get a straight answer on if it's locked or not. If T-Mobile doesn't usually lock them, then I don't see why the G2 would be an exception. That would be good! I asked in a couple of XDA threads about this.

          • Trent Callahan

They locked the LG Optimus L9's bootloader sadly. Near impossible to unlock.

          • motoridersd

Someone on XDA replied and said the D801 (T-Mobile G2) has a way of getting into fastboot mode and flashing anything without Loki. So it seems like it's not locked or there's a way around it. Sounds like getting to fastboot is not as simple as 'adb reboot bootloader' but as long as it's doable, it should open the doors to development. CM hasn't put out a nightly build for the G2 yet, but I hope there are some already working on it.

          • ins0mn1a

i see. thanks. all i know is that until now if a phone had both unlocked and locked bootloader versions, the t-mobile one would be the one that was unlocked (e.g. sgs3 & 4), and with all the common sense decisions coming from t-mo lately, i was surprised that they would regress into "mean carrier" mode. but who knows.

        • ins0mn1a

hm, i would say timely updates and lack of LG skin are very convincing reasons, but to each their own, i guess.

        • Nick

Let us all know when your G2 receives the 4.4 update.

          • mesmorino

Lol at the technosnob. You'd choose an inferior device over a better one, because the inferior one would get updates faster? What are you, 12? Hardware is more future proof than software! Please, enjoy your 0.1 incremental update if it matters that much to you. The N5 is going to be struggling to be relevant this time next year.

I'm actually laughing out loud at the ridiculous idea that Android 4.4 is so magically better than Android 4.3 as to choose an inferior device

          • Gabernasher

What hardware is worse on the N5? Not sure how stock android will struggle more than bloated bloatware.

          • mesmorino

The N5 is not going to have any problems with stock android, it's designed to run stock android. It's going to have a problem with apps that are designed to run on higher end devices.

As for what's inferior about it, my main feature point is battery size. I'm also pretty sure the G2 has higher resolution cameras, and better (or at least more inclusive) camera software.

That battery size alone is more valuable to me than Android 4.4, because hardware will ALWAYS be a better investment than software. (And stock android tends to be a bit overrated anyway)

          • Gabernasher

How will the G2 work better than the N5 on any apps? The N5 is clean Android with the same hardware... Investing another 50% for a bit more battery and MP doesn't seem like a sound investment to me.

  • blahmoomoo

I got my Nexus 4 several months ago, and nothing other than increased capacity would be an incentive for me to upgrade. Maybe next year.

The Nexus 5 does look pretty nice though... must... resist...

P.S. I currently have a service without LTE, so I have no need for a phone with LTE at the moment, and I'm in a place where I don't need super speed because I'm around Wi-Fi points most of the time.

  • Phillip Booker

I actually got mine to use on Sprint and will be taking it with me to T-Mobile when my contract is up in January. Love that Google made this possible. LEVELED THE PLAYING FIELD!!

    • motoridersd

That's an awesome advantage! If I was still on Sprint I would have done exactly the same. No need to change the phone when you leave. Amazing. I do miss Sprint's Google Voice integration

  • Mexigreek

I'm on vzw and bought one. Moving to ATT once mine arrives on11/4. I would move to T-mo but my company only allows us to use VZW, ATT, or Sprint. But VZW has soured me to ever going back to a CDMA carrier.

    • motoridersd

      That's a strange restriction. Why not T-Mobile?

      • mexigreek

New company policy. I guess they made a deal only with the big three to save money.

        • motoridersd

Oh and you would have to pay for your own service if you were to choose T-Mo. That sucks :( Luckily for me I can expense any phone bill.

  • skeeterfood

I bought a 16 Gb black one for me and a 16 Gb white one for my wife. At the time I ordered it said they would ship by November 8th, but I just got an e-mail this morning saying they have shipped. Not showing up in UPS's system yet though...

    • Simon Belmont

Haha, wow. An LG Optimus V.

Yes, sir. That will be a GIGANTIC upgrade for you.

  • Roland

There should be a "No, because Verizon" option.

    • cy_n_ic

Matters concerning nexus, verizon is never an option. Even if offered. Nobody wants a gimpy phone

  • Crispin Swickard

More like: Yes, but not the model I wanted since it was sold out already. :/

  • Frank Barten

Still happy with my Nexus 4!

    • Shitiz Garg

So am I, but got the 32GB White anyway :P

      • ins0mn1a

i currently use the note 2 and it works wonderfully. definitely don't *need* the new phone, so i actually tried to resist. the result is that i ordered the N5 some 2 hours later and got in the nov 8th batch (shipped this morning though). should have known better ;).

i have a feeling craigslist and ebay are gonna be swamped with 1yr old phones in excellent condition some time this monday / tuesday.

        • Shitiz Garg

See, I knew I was gonna cave. So the moment I saw the AP headline that N5 is live (totally unexpected BTW, I had no idea that was gonna happen since I was at a party) I just went to the damn play store and bought the phone. Of course I entered the wrong address and 30 minutes later cancelled and placed the order again (costed me another day of waiting) but I got it in full glory :D.

          • ins0mn1a

haha, i envy your surprise. with all the rumors and speculations i found it impossible to have a "yesss, finally!" moment. but i learned my lesson: if the device is decidedly awesome, there is no way i am not gonna get it, so it better be sooner than later. duh.

holy frak, i just realized the amount of first world problems in this conversation. we are a bit silly, honestly ;).

          • Shitiz Garg

A bit silly is cutting it short, we're pretty close to being insane in a way :P. And even more so for me since I'm actually importing it to India through a shipping forwarder.

      • Gabernasher

I went with the black 32GB, I'll just give the wife the 4.

  • motoridersd

Was able to order a white 32 GB and a black 16 GB 10 minutes after they went on sale. The white one stayed in stock longer than the black one.

  • Chris Caldwell

why did ANYONE vote "no because its sold out"? It was only sold out for a couple minutes, then came right back with a later date. That makes no sense at all. It was down for what, 2 minutes in the last 4 days??

    • blahmoomoo

Perhaps it might be sold out in another country's Play Store?

      • Gabernasher

But America is the only country in the world.

    • http://www.androidpolice.com/ David Ruddock

      Two reasons.

1.) I'm entirely unsure if that's the case in every single Play Store country.

2.) It's also possible some people in non-Play Store countries tried to buy one somewhere and their retail source is sold out.

      • Falka

Number 2 is the correct answer!

  • http://www.facebook.com/joeyklatzko Joseph Klatzko

I placed my order at 2:04pm! 32GB white arriving tomorrow!!

  • Laurențiu Selei

in Romania you can buy it for 620$

  • Shadab

Where is the option i m not planning to buy?

    • Joseph Pojunis

"No, I chose not to buy one"

    • cy_n_ic

The big X on top right of your browser.

    • ProtoKun7

The one that says "No, I chose not to buy one."

  • n0th1ng_r3al

Bought the 32GB black version, right when it was announced. Status is pending, while my friend says his already shipped. Mine is supposed to leave the warehouse by the 5th.

    • Haunter

Bought a 32Gb White 15 minutes after it launched (co-worker came and told me they were live), mine shipped yesterday at 3am but it still says "Will leave warehouse by Nov. 5th" for some reason. So long as I get it before the end of the week... nobody gets hurt.

      • n0th1ng_r3al

        Did you get an email?

        • Haunter

Yessir. After ordering I got a confirmation email immediately... woke up yesterday to an email saying my package had shipped, with a time stamp of 3:41am.

    • rex

That's weird. Ordered a 32gb black probably an hour and a half after it went live. Said it was going to leave warehouse by Nov 8. Ended up getting my shipping confirmation on Friday (Nov 1st).

  • Phill_S

Im a huge Android nerd but this is my first Nexus anything, a 16gb panda. Im hoping it arrives tomorrow and it should look great next to my blue highlights panda Chromebook 11.

  • Elliott Hansen

Even though my Verizon contract doesn't end until the middle of December I decided to go ahead and order one ahead of time. This way it'll be read to go when I switch to T-Mobile

  • http://www.Nave360.com Sebastian Gorgon

How about a simple No because i have a good phone?

  • lagnis

    Bought two 32GB Black phones

  • Hans Gruber

No because unlike all the other hands ons i've read i wasnt impressed with the build quality :/ (bit disappointed really).
And i say that as somebody who's actually managed to hold/use one in a brick and mortar store :/

  • RitishOemraw

32White though it is not available in my country I got someone else to buy it for me :D

    • Simon Belmont

Yay. That's the color/storage combination that I bought, too.

I figured I'd try a white phone after years of black/gray ones. Last white phone I had was a white T-Mobile G1.

      • RitishOemraw

Same here, I normally really like black slabs as phones, but figured why not try something different. And the front is still black so with the screen of it will not look weird like most other white phones.

I'm thinking about calling it (the wifi-hotspot name, name in Play Store and the bluetooth monniker) the Nexus Panda, Pandaxus, The Zebra Or mr.Cuddly-Duddly-Panda-Wanda-Poo-Bear ;P
Other suggestions for names linking to something that is black and white are welcome :D

        • Simon Belmont

Haha. Just don't mention those names in public or people might look at you funny.

I hadn't actually thought about a name for it, but I kinda like the "panda" or "zebra" for it. Call it newspaper. They're black and white. Haha.

          • RitishOemraw

"Just don't mention those names in public or people might look at you funny."

You mean there is something wrong with mr.Cuddly-Duddly-Panda-Wanda-Poo-Bear?

Hmmm well ok, I'll take your word for it and pick one of the others :)
The name will likely only be used in private circles with people who know how much I wanted this phone (it will be like calling it my preciouss, only instead of me calling it that they will refer to it like that. I just need to pre-empt them before they give it a crap name)

          • Simon Belmont

Nothing wrong with the name if that's your style. I probably just wouldn't talk to your phone with that name. Imagine when we can change the hot word for Google Now. "OK, Mr. Cuddly-Duddly-Panda-Wanda-Poo-Bear, open Google Maps." ;)

If I ever hear someone doing that, I'll know it's you. I'll come over and shake your hand for being so brave to say that in public. :D

          • RitishOemraw

LOL, If I ever happen to be around you and actually know it is you (overhearing someone else say your name) I will DEFINITELY say that (even when changing hotwords in Google Now isn't supported yet)

But seriously, when will Google open that up! I want to call it computer (from Dexter and DeeDee) or Jarvis (from Iron Man) or maybe Adam (Metroid) or maybe that actually sounds good xD

          • Simon Belmont

I would think fairly soon. AP has already shown it's in the code, but just hasn't been enabled.

I wonder if they'll bundle it with a larger update for Google Now that ends up enabling touchless control while the Nexus 5 is asleep. The Snapdragon 800 is more than capable of listening for commands while it's asleep because it has a low power language processing core like the Moto X's X8 SoC.

          • RitishOemraw

Can they do that or does it require an OS update?
I've not seen any other app being able to wake the device from sleep by voice unless you are rooted.

          • Simon Belmont

I'm not 100% sure, to be honest. One would hope that it's already baked into KitKat, and it's just not enabled yet.

As for the reason it's not enabled yet? Maybe Google just hasn't figured out an elegant way to handle the touchless commands while the Nexus 5 is asleep, like the Moto X already does. This is all just speculation on my part. I would think if Google has an SoC that can leverage a low power language core, then it should use it to its full capacity.

          • RitishOemraw

I was hoping it would be like the Moto X, but not sure how it works or would work if you have a pin on your phone. How does the Moto X handle that? Does it limit the amount of features or does it completely block voice actions while the phone is still locked?

          • Simon Belmont

That's actually a great question. I don't know how the Moto X handles that, but it's definitely something Google would be facing when implementing something similar for the Nexus 5, which would lend credence to my hunch that they just haven't figured out a good way to implement touchless commands while the Nexus 5 is asleep, yet.

My guess is the Moto X lets you designate what commands can be accessed without security credentials being entered. That's how I'd do it, but there's probably a more elegant way to handle it, and Google will have to figure that out before they enable it on the Nexus 5.

          • RitishOemraw

Or google lets the guys at Moto figure it out and when they perfect it, they copy it. What's Moto gonna do? Sue them xD

          • Simon Belmont

It'll probably be very similar. I don't think Google will be taking sales away from the Moto X, if they did something similar.

These phones are in two different leagues of performance and specifications. Stock Android will get its own touchless command system sooner enough (asleep mode), I'm sure.

  • deltatux

No point, the Nexus 4 still holds its ground. I might wait until the 2014 model the earliest to upgrade. The only thing I really want from the Nexus 5 is the camera and I rather get more improvements in my next device. Plus, since the Nexus 4 is still running like a champ, I really can't justify plopping almost $500 on a new device (incl. tax and shipping in Canada) again.

  • jack

Really want one as these devices, and KitKat look amazing. I just can't justify replacing my Note 3 with one :(

  • Roberto

I ordered mine and it said it'd get here in 2-3 weeks. Just got an email and it'll be here Wednesday. I didn't order until Friday night.

  • mercado79

No, because Google decided to crap out on me and gave me a generic "technical issue, try again in 24 hours" message. Such b.s. To make matters worse, it never got sorted out even after more than 24 hours. Finally, after multiple calls / emails, they had me verify my identity by sending in copies of a bill and my ID. Now they (Google Wallet) tell me I need to send my brother's info because I had added him as a shipping address at some point (when I bought a device for him). What the hell Google?!

So, in case you can't tell, I'm incredibly frustrated.

    • Gabernasher

Can you just make a new google account just to order it?

  • The Seventh Son

I bought 2 of the black 32 gigs, can't wait till tomorrow when they arrive!
PS - anyone want to buy my N4 and HTC One?

  • NeedName

NO, I'm going to run my Galaxy Nexus on ROMs till I die!

  • john

I am deciding whether to buy the nexus 5 or the Xiaomi Mi3,

My decision list from the point of view of the mi3

The dimensions of the xiaomi are bigger(con), the battery is bigger(pro), it doesn't run stock android(con, but not really a problem due to rooting and flashing (the dev community will be smaller though)), it has the same spec'ed screen (quality needs to be seen from reviews of both devices), the soc is the same(I am waiting for the snapdragon version of the mi3), and the camera performance (I don't know yet, waiting for a review, spec-wise the camera of the mi3 is better).

So it really comes down to screen quality and camera quality of both devices.

**Also I am in the netherlands a nexus 5 will cost me at least 350 euro, while a cost me 320 euro, so that's a pro for the xiaomi

Does anyone else have some viable input?

    • Gabernasher

Softkeys on the N5 is a pretty big deal for me, I hate the hardkeys, especially since 4.4 allows apps to hide the keys.

  • dhruva

i want the moto g instead

    • Trent Callahan

It's an entry level device, nothing special. Idk if you knew that, I read it this morning.

  • cheeto0

Missing the option , i ordered but i was late so my Nexus isn't shipping for 2-4 weeks. Its currently not sold out but it doesnt' ship for 3-4 weeks.

    • Chaosprower

I ordered with an estimated dispatch date of 3 to 4 weeks but today I've recieved an email saying it already has been dispatched. So don't lose hope, it could arrive faster than you think!

  • droid4lif3

Im stuck with verizon for some months so Im still stuck with my GNex on 4.2.2 and I have a dumb hardware problem that kills my battery really fast. FML

    • Patrick Dough

Have you done the math to see if it would be cheaper to pay the ETF and switch carriers?

  • NinoBr0wn

Yes. 32gig black on black on black will be here in a couple days.

  • Chaosprower

I ordered the 16GB one after five hours or so after the launch, and it said it would be dispatched in 3-4 weeks, the next day the status changed to 2-3 weeks, and today I've recieved an email saying it already has been dispatched from the warehouse. It's a nice upgrade from my previous phone, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, Sony Ericsson doesn't even exist anymore.

  • Tomáš Petrík

I was thrilled to find out that our local LG distributor started selling the Nexus 5 on the same day as in the USA, usually we get the new Google devices with 2-3 month delay.
Only 16GB version is available, but still... I ordered the white version, should be delivered tomorrow.
Few days ago, I wasn't expecting to put my hands on the N5 this year, so I'm excited.

  • Korban Hadley

"No because Verizon is a retard and will loose my business when my contact is up" should be so answer.

  • TheLastAngel

    Where is the review :P

  • Captain Spaulding[2200+ posts]

I have to wait until January. :(

    • Andrew

I got my nexus 4 way after January. January ain't that far off. It'll be worth it :)

  • MrLockOut

Was planning on the 16 and have no use for extra storage. Thanks to @N5stock I got the link for the 32 10 minutes early and the rush kicked in so i said fuck it! ;) Also my package managed to make it SF Sat early AM so my poor phone has been just sitting there 2 blocks from my work all weekend. Can't remember the last time I was so anxious for the weekend to be over... ;D

  • RoboBonobo

I bought a Nexus 4 in September because my 3 year old phone was crapping out on me.
Shame it couldn't have lasted a few more months. The Nexus 5 looks mighty tempting.
I might try to sell the 4 in a couple months and buy a 5. Or else I'll look forward to the 6.

  • Michael Lee

I figure my HTC One with the Google Edition conversion RUU method is good enough for now. :)

  • Erik Knudsen

    Black 32gb, shipped today :)

  • renegad3

Just got shipping info for mine, was originally listed as leaving the warehouse on Nov. 8th, but is no due to arrive on Tuesday the 5th!!

  • Aleksey_US

Where's "My shipment of 32GB black and 16GB white arrives tomorrow"

  • Rob

    32GB, Black. 2-3 week wait. :(

  • DaveTexan

I just can't convince myself to sell my N4 that is only 6 months old and still under warranty...
Besides N4 is very fast with T-Mobile's LTE network. The only reason that may convince me to upgrade to N5 now would be if someone ports T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling to it...Otherwise I'd wait until my warranty expires at least and see if Google has another big sale in 2014. If I had Galaxy Nexus by now instead of N4, I would not hesitate.

    • Simon Belmont

That's precisely why I bought a second hand Galaxy Nexus (for a great price, too) when I switched to T-Mobile in June. I knew I was going to want the Nexus 5, and I'd have felt bad if I'd bought a Nexus 4, so I went with the G'Nex (haven't been disappointed, it runs really well on Android 4.3 and I'll be throwing Android 4.4 ROMs on it and keeping it as a backup phone). ;)

Everything went to plan. I grabbed a white 32GB Nexus 5 two minutes after it went live. :)

  • Bob

Does the new software, Kitkat 4.4 have its own permission manager?

  • Andrew

I figure I'll buy it when it comes to best buy. I have a $25 gift card I won't use otherwise.

  • Hobie Helbich

Literally had money set aside for it for months, then realized that it didn't work on Verizon... Bought a Moto X instead for $49 on amazon.

    • Gabernasher

Silly of you to think it'd work on Verizon. Why would they want their grandfathered data customers to have a reasonably priced off contract option.

  • Simon Belmont

I grabbed a white 32GB model around 2:02 PM EST. It's already been shipped and I'll have it by Tuesday (got the slower shipping, too).

I have a 16GB GSM G'Nex and I haven't filled it up, but I figure app and game resources aren't getting any smaller and I plan on rocking my Nexus 5 for quite a while. Also, I'll have more breathing room for lots of photos and videos of my 1 year old son.

  • nobody

Where's the "Yes, but I have to wait 2-3 weeks to get it" option?!

  • Konstantinos

Who the heck would choose a specific colour over this sexy(both hardware, Android version and outside look) beast?

  • Cuvis

As sexy a beast as the N5 is, I'm very happy with my N4 right now.

  • Harjifangki

No "No because I'm a broke ass person" option?
or "No, because at the time it reach my country it will be much more expensive than Play Store" option?

    • VyktorJonas

you're probably also from Brazil ;P

      • Lucas Loureiro

      • Harjifangki

Close, but no cigar. I live in Indonesia.
The retailers here probably will sell this phone for about $500 - $600

  • Jadephyre

Nope, I bought my N4 when they practically made a fire-sale of it in my local electronics store a month ago. It is still a powerful performer, and since i'm not particularly fond of credit cards (I don't own one by choice) I wouldn't have been able to buy one from the PlayStore anyway.
I don't need to have a top-of-the-line phone, as long as I can play quick time-wasters on it, surf at a reasonable speed and send texts and make calls, i'm pretty much happy with my purchase.

  • asdasdasdsad

Managed to place the order 10 minutes past the start time of the sale. Cannot wait to get it on Monday.

  • uglyscotsguy

Have had two nexus 4 in the last six months. Brilliant phones. Until you drop them... They're just too fragile. Second timebit had the official bumper, fell from three feet onto a rubberised bus floor, and smashed.

So I bought a samsung gs3 for £200, case for £13, 64gb card for £10, and have put cyanogenmod 4.3 android on. Looks like a nexus, but it is better made

    • Gabernasher

When my phones are made entirely of glass, I encase them in rubber and plastic, I've had many drops, no damage to the phone.

  • Umar Ghouse

I picked "the nexus 5 is not sold in the play store in my country", but the truth is play store devices isn't even in my country :(
I cannot wait for the day it arrives. :D

  • mikeinvegas

    i got a 32gb white and it's arriving tomorrow!

  • TechGuy22

im happy with my HTC ONE but nexus 5 is a beast. can';t buy one since im broke. got other priorities

  • Marsg

There should be a 6th choice : You're on Verizon

  • lljktechnogeek

I'm waiting for it to show up on Amazon. And for my next paycheck. Mostly the paycheck.

  • KoRRo

i've bought the 16 gb here in italy. i was away and didn't heard of the launch so i bought it a copuple of hours after the launch. on th eplay store they stated it will be shipped the 8th but today i received a mail announcing it have been shipped. that's strange since it's sunday, in fact the tracking code doesn't work but i hope to see it working tomorrow. can't wait for it!

  • fjleon

no, because google play detects my ip outside the US and won't let me buy even when i plan to ship to the US and use a US credit card and amazon isn't selling it ! Not even a VPN works!

    • Andrew

Ask a relativefriendacquaintance in the US to order it for you, seems like the only decent way at the moment. Or wait for someone like Kogan to sell it, they ship internationally and it's where I bought my Nexus 4.

    • saltyzip
      • fjleon

i don't have a problem shipping to venezuela, my problem is that google play denies me access to buy the phone because i am outside the US. Not even a VPN or proxy works

        • saltyzip

reship have an option whereby they can purchase the phone for you. Email them first to ask them what you want to do, before setting up an account.

          • fjleon

i already have an US address and US credit card. My guess is that the free VPN's / proxies i use suck, because google play always finds out my true location (and popular ip address websites show the US ip address instead of my venezuelan one).

I have written reship to see if they do this kind of service. The 32 GB version in amazon is right now 518$, so i am interested

  • Braca

I don't have money to buy one plus cabt buy in serbia :-(

  • anmolm97

Anyone know where I can get a black Nexus 5 32GB internationally shipped from?

  • Ashmedai ♔

I was gonna get one from UK, but its more expensive there compared to US and I haven't saved as much money, so cant get it :(

  • Chris Oliver

I ordered the 32gb white on Sunday at 15:00, Its arriving today !!!!

  • http://petervideos.com/ Peter Mansour

    i bought 7

  • http://somerandomposts.no-ip.fr/ Ulunyth

    Where's the "I already have a perfectly working Nexus 4" option ? :s

    • RozJC

Wouldn't that just be... "No" ?

  • http://www.facebook.com/Jeremy6820 Jeremy Gomez

I really want to get the 32 GB Nexus 5, but I don't have the spare cash right now. I'm hoping to be able to purchase it no later than next month though.

  • SunP

    Yep!!! 2 nexus's!!!!!!

  • saltyzip

If the Nexus 5, had active notifications and always listening voice controls as per the moto x I would have had a good enough reason to upgrade from my current phone the Nexus 4.

However it hasn't and with my Nexus 4 still performing admirably, all the KitKat goodness will be coming my way shortly. I play games on my Nexus 7 2013 so have no need for the extra power under the hood which the Nexus 5 offers.

Still if I had money to burn, I would be getting a Nexus 5 without hesitation.

  • Ceefax

Mine (and a couple of others I work with) arrived this morning!

So far delighted with it, great upgrade from my gnex before.

  • Darryl Stanley

BOOM. My 32BG Black arrived (UK) this morning. Dispatch was meant to be by the 8th :-)

So yeah, I have just upgraded from a NEXUS ONE (!!) straight to a NEXUS 5.

Holy guacamole. Has anyone got any spare pants i can borrow!! The screen... LOOK AT THE SCREEN...hahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha

Only issue so far is that Google Now needs the language to be set to English US, else... MIND = BLOWN

  • anonimus

where is the option that says, no, you live in the same continent (America) and you cant buy it

  • Caio Moreno

No, because there is no PlayStore in Brazil yet =/

  • RH

Nope, holding off. My Gnote1 is still after 2 years, running 99% (is anything perfect?).
Now that there are multiple 5+ inch screens, I'm going to more than likely hold off til spring to figure out which to update to. By then, the dust will settle, reviews will stabilize, and any 4.4 updates will be pushed. It's a good time if you are in the market for 5" screens and above :)

  • Nick V

Actualy, I bought a 16GB for the wife, and a 32GB for me. I received the email that they both have shipped.

  • Mystro

Just got an email saying my White 32GB has shipped!!

  • Tony Bombardo

I'm one of the lucky "Leaves warehouse in 3-4 weeks" people becuase I decided to "wait" to order mine... :-/

    • Mystro

Mine said 2-3 weeks when i ordered it, but i got an email yesterday saying it shipped. Hopefully it wont take long for you either.

  • The_Chlero

    One more option is needed:

I own a GNex, but Google refused to update it besides its a perfectly capable phone, 18 months update commitment is ridiculous in these days because if high capable hardware, so I dont buy Nexus 5 and will think thrice before buying an Nexus devices again (I know other manufacturers have even more ridiculous update programs)

    • Gabernasher

Go get an iPhone, or just ROM your GNex.

      • The_Chlero

iPhone is a good choice, not because the OS or hardware is any better than Android phones, but because the software support Apple gives to iPhone users. I will think about that later. ROM my Gnex is a good choice but just for a few geeks like us, not the general public.

        • Gabernasher

General public doesn't care about updates, if they did, they could easily ROM. The step by step guides are dead simple for most phones.

          • The_Chlero

No they dont. Even so there is a high chance of bricking your phone so is not a very reliable option. The core thing is that Google left Gnex without this update, it sucks because GNex is a very perfectly capable phone.

          • Gabernasher

High chance of bricking a Nexus? Are you joking because that wasn't even close to being funny.

  • adamsnider

I did manage to purchase a 16GB white model when they became available again late Friday. Since I missed the initial wave, I'll likely be waiting several weeks for it to ship.

  • Mark Landry

ordred, but have about a month to wait before it ships

  • hunti

who would like to buy me a nexus 5

  • Brayden Reesor

It's already in my hands, picked up from UPS this morning. :)

  • Brendan

You forgot the "fuck carrier contracts" option.

  • selonmoi

Nope, my Nexus 4 is still awesomesause, and I'll be getting all of the KitKat goodness soon!

Seriously, I'd think about it for the camera and battery improvements, but to be honest I'm turned off by the extra height. Another 1 cm is too tall to fit in some of my pants' pockets.

  • MindFever

Bought it today on Amazon UK black 16gb version (350£)

  • Cesar

    No, because Verizon.

  • Sankyou

I threw down on the 32gb black 4 hours after the release. 2-day shipping and I got the shipping notification on Saturday. Now I just got an update that I will be received by tomorrow.... Very happy!

  • Babs Oyed

This is an absolute nobuy for me mostly because of the lame battery.

  • rocs_macho

Should have plenty available. No need to wait weeks for delivery.

  • David Marion

I only got my galaxy s2 roughly a year ago (right before the s3 came out), but I will upgrade to a Nexus 5. I may be part of the minority, but I'm waiting for the bumper case to come out before I order mine. I want to get both at the same time. I know the case is $35, which I agree, is a little much. However, I always prefer to have official accessories, rather than 3rd party.

  • Manu

    UPS shows delivery by Wednesday

  • Edu

Is it possible to buy it if you live outside the US? In my case, I live in Dubai. Thanks.

  • lewis

can the 5 be charged wirelessly if anyone knows?

  • vish

does google nexus5 come with international warranty?

  • Dominic Tobias

so annoying that they ran out of stock in 27minutes. How retarded is that? Idiots

  • ChaiKhaari

When does the Nexus 5 come to India

  • Rajiv Rungta

there seems some kind of scam by google and aramex and blue dart (their logsitic partners) in india. google sent be a dispatch mail on 21st Nov . consignment sent through aramex. phone calls to aramex tells me that there is a problem with the address and i should contact google. mails to google are unanswered. meanwhile even after 6 days the phone is still somewhere in mumbai with aramex. Hundreds of people are facing the same problem and left to fend for themselves. WELL DONE GOOGLE.
