It's just a few days until Halloween, and that means it's time for some spoooooky sales. Well, just regular sales, I guess. But Halloween is the excuse developers are using to put things on sale. That means a lot of deals. Get ready to spend some money.

Might have to jump on that I, Gladiator deal....

IAP Alert! Be aware that this game has IAP...

      • Mr E

Have you played it? Is the IAP really annoying and/or "required"? I don't really mind IAPs as long as they're sort of kept on the side.

        • StriderWhite

well, it's the same old story: if you want to go on you have to unlock new weapons, which costs virtual money. You can slowly earn it playing, but of course you can earn it paying real money...I got tired soon of this game (which ha good graphic and gameplay, but in the end is like the other free-to-play games).

Anyone own Fangz HD? It looks pretty fun and IAP free.

    • StriderWhite

Well, it's not bad, but becomes pretty boring after a while...for 99 cents I think it's ok, but not for the full price!

Oooh, Rayman Jungle Run sale. Does that mean that Fiesta Run is coming out soon?

      November 7 for the Fiesta

Sales are not enough. Free App Promotions on Paid Apps (Like what they do on the Amazon App Store) should be allowed on Google Play.

    • Simon Belmont

What's wrong with the developers making a little money? The lowered prices are a deal for consumers and they give developers the spotlight a little and hopefully increase sales.

I'm a developer myself, and I think the cost of a cup of coffee is pretty reasonable for a sale price. Just my opinion.

You are not getting what he means, He means the ability to set the app to free and back to paid, You can only set an app from paid to free but you wont be able to set it back to paid, thats why developers make specific free versions that they delete later (like all promotions from appgratis) which means you will never get any updates.

        • Simon Belmont

I knew exactly what he meant. I know that Google has long prevented apps from being set to free and then back again. Carmageddon is a good example of what you described. I agree that there should be an OPTION for setting apps to free.

It's just that his post just came off sounding like "I want free apps because I don't like paying for things." Developers deserve income for their work.

Well, I'm developer and I pissed off because of next things about Google Play:

        - I can't gift apps. Shame and LOL. I use pirated copies of my apps on my non-dev devices.

        - I can't make an app free for some period of time. That's awesome things for small devs, who want to make their apps more popular.
        - I'd like to see "pay what you want" model. Maybe with some options for minimal price.
        - Button "Donate to dev". I don't know why would google add this, but why not?
        - Something else?

        • Simon Belmont

I agree. All of those things would be great and I hope that Google does implement them sometime in the future.

I understand that some developers would like to be able to set paid apps to free and back again. The OP just sounded like he hated paying for apps period (that's how I read it anyway). I proudly pay for apps and games that I use a lot and enjoy. It's my way of giving back to the developer for all his/her hard work.
