We're getting into the stretch of the calendar that deal hunters spend all year preparing for: the pre-Christmas consumerism smorgasbord. It seems to be happening earlier and earlier, and Best Buy is getting in on the action even before Halloween. The most relevant deal on their promotional site is an instant 0 rebate off of most of the smartphones in the store, applicable to new contracts or new phone lines.

The deal works on just about any phone for AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon. The Galaxy Note 3 for AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon is $199.99. The LG G2 is just a hundred bucks for AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon, plus a $50 gift card, a fantastic deal on one of the most powerful phones around. The HTC One for AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon is free, bupkis, and nada, as is the One Mini for AT&T. If Motorola is more your style, Verizon's DROID Ultra and DROID MAXX are both $99.99, the DROID Mini is free, and the Moto X on AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon is $99.99 FREE.

The rebates appear to be applicable for almost any phone, even iPhones if you're shopping for a friend (and no, you can't get cash back). Unfortunately phones from T-Mobile and other operators seem to be notably absent. Some of the Sprint and Verizon rebates are only applied once you go to the individual phone page, and a few of the deals are only available today and tomorrow.

Check out the full listing of more than 200 devices across various price points at the link below - alternate colors are also available. This deal may or may not be viable in brick-and-mortar locations, but you can select in-store pickup. Shipping is free on all the phones in the promotion. At the moment there's no end date for the sale. It looks like the rebates are not applicable to non-contract prices.
