After dropping the Xperia Z1 for T-Mobile on us this morning, @evleaks has revealed another upcoming Android handset headed to a US carrier near you; namely, the Galaxy S4 Mini for Verizon.

Now, I'm not entirely sure we can be 100% positive this is for Verizon, but oh wait, the home button has a not at all conspicuous Verizon logo! I could never have figured it out otherwise. I guess we'll have to thank Verizon's product marketing team for that subtle branding exercise, which first debuted to the excitement of exactly no one on the carrier's version of the Note II last year. It seems the backlash was not to Samsung's liking, though, as neither the Verizon Galaxy S4 nor the Note 3 are tainted in this fashion.

Perhaps the treatment is now being reserved for low and mid-range devices, as a sort of "mark of shame." Or maybe Samsung just doesn't really care. Either way, it seems all but certain that the S4 Mini is headed to Verizon soon enough, albeit nearly 5 months after the device was actually announced.

    "carrier unknown"

That's some good, ol' fashioned sarcasm.

    • master94

It really feels like VZW is just trolling us now

  • Grizzly Atoms

So its on the back and the front? I'm so glad I dropped them last year.

  • QwietStorm

lol carrier unknown. That looks horrible no matter how many times they do it. What exactly is their logo supposed to be anyway?

    • mustbepbs

It's a check mark. They're crossing you off their ass rape list.

      • QwietStorm

        .. Ok?

        • Scott

You're probably not from the US. Verizon is the most expensive carrier in the US and you get the least amount of data. Not to mention their locking down phones tactics.

          • Cherokee4life

they are just an evil company plain and simple.

          • QwietStorm

But on the other hand, I probably am from the US.

  • anzensepp1987

Good to know that something like this will never happen to a Nexus.
Maybe it's just a subtle reminder of VZW for Samsung to finally get rid of these pointless buttons.

  • Atomic Zombie

Why on earth do carriers in the US insist on putting their crappy logos on phones?

    • Cherokee4life

well lets be clear here, not ALL carriers do. Only the stuck up arrogant ones.

Note: so most of the US Carriers

I love my naked HTC One from TMob...

For fun and games, move "naked" around in that sentence and add or remove punctuation as necessary (or not necessary)! Seconds of fun!

        • Simon Belmont

I love my naked G'Nex. Also on T-Mobile, but bought from Google. :D

Also, I just noticed the tab this page is in is called "Home Butt..." on my web browser. Haha. :)

    Kill it with fire!

  • cesar suarez

  • Jesse Blacklock

    lmao, "carrier unknow"

  • Crispin Swickard

Now is Samsung would just scrap unneeded hardware buttons this wouldn't happen. Then Verizon would start putting it on the software ones along with the1r bloatware.. *insert dramatic chipmunk here.

    • Eric James Salcido

I see it coming already.. "Verizon updates the Galaxy Nexus at last.. changing the home button to the Verizon Logo."

      • Crispin Swickard

And to rub salt in the would it not be the current version/build it will be the previous one available at that time.

That's ugly ugly ugly. Do they really need their logo on the phone of both the front and the back. At least I take solace that my Verizon Galaxy Nexus says Sprint on the back because I bought an extended battery for it.

  • Simon Belmont

    Ha. Carrier unknown.

Oh, Verizon. Will you ever stop being so brazenly asstastic PR wise?

  • axi0m

    wonder if its crooked too..

  • bdh

    What if?
