Yes, Angry Birds is back again. This time the sequel to the surprisingly fun Angry Birds Star Wars has dropped out of Hyperspace right in the middle of the Play Store. Angry Birds Star Wars II is based on the prequel films – you know, the ones that your inner child refuses to acknowledge.

There are over 30 playable characters in Angry Birds Star Wars II. Everyone from Mace Windu to Queen Amidala (for some reason) is included in the game this time. Probably one of the reasons for having so many characters is the Telepods toy tie-in. Telepods are small figurines made by Hasbro that can be "teleported" into the game. You (or more likely, kids) will do this by attaching the figure to a special magnifying pedestal which is then placed on the device's camera. The camera reads a code from the bottom of the figure, and it's in the game.

The game still plays normally without Telepods, but there are some in-app purchases to unlock things if you don't want to grind through. The ad-free version of the app is $0.99, which isn't bad. Rovio hopes you'll plunk down$14.95 on a set of Telepods, though.

I'm really surprised people still play this game!
Way too repetitive for me.... but then again, I played almost all Pokémon, Mario and Zelda games so I'm not one to speak -_-'

It's all good and fun and well. I love most Rovio games. Angry Birds might be a little repetitive but that doesn't take the fun away.

I still believe Bad Piggies is their best title, though.

I'm getting tired and sick of those repetitive mindless games. Why don't Rovio bring some new games? How about Bounce?! remember the old red ball? I'm amazed that people still finds Angry Birds interesting.

For those who have been game enough to purchase the paid version, are there any in game ads or otherwise questionable in-you-face advertsiing?
