Do you already have many leather-bound books, and wish your mobile devices could smell of rich mahogany? The smell thing we can't really help with, but you can make them look like rich mahogany now thanks to dbrand. The maker of precision-fitted device skins has just made the mahogany version available for all devices, and it looks awesome.

All dbrand skins are made from 3M vinyl that offers high durability and an exact fit for your device. The skins leave no residue after being removed, though you're not likely to want to do that. Dbrand also has a number of videos showing you how to apply the vinyl cutouts.

The mahogany skin looks classy, and like other patterns, it includes "Nexus" letter cutouts for the Nexus devices. You can get it without the cutouts, though. The new wood skin is available for all devices including the Nexus 4, 2012/2013 Nexus 7, HTC One, GS4, and more.

Pricing varies a bit with the device. Phones are usually a little cheaper than tablets, and some devices only have compatible back skins, while others have both front and back available. Whatever you buy, shipping is only $3.

I actually kinda like it, not worth it now though the new N4 is now doubt just around the corner

You mean the new nexus itself? e.e

Let's not jump the rumor mill here...

  • kpjimmy

As a past customer, I can attest to the great customer service they provide if you have any questions. I have a custom made one by them and it is awesome!

  • Naga Sridhar

Looks awesome!! Already plan to get at least one!! The wood! The only thing I was envious about the Moto X, not anymore :)

  • Samvith V Rao

There goes my only reason to upgrade to a Moto X

    • Bob G

      Well.......vinyl vs. real wood.

      • Samvith V Rao

        Well....Immediate delivery vs a 2 quarter wait

  • Andy Stetson

here's to hoping that they'll have one that covers the front of the vzw G2 ;)

  • Matthew Fry

    exact *fit* for your device.

  • nickdrake

    Just ordered mine.

  • gspida

I have to admit it looks nice. Let me know if it looks the same in person without the camera lighting please.

  • RaptorOO7

It looks really good on the Nexus 4, but on the GS4 and iPad Mini it doesn't look so great. The iPad Mini has the horrible due to the splits on the rounded corners.

  • SetiroN

Great idea to cover my slightly cracked back.
Gotta say every single one of them besides the wood pattern looks terrible.

I have titanium on one of my Nexus 7s and I think it looks pretty good. Certainly feels nice and substantial, and very high quality.

I have the white carbon fiber one on my Nexus 4 and liked it so much I got it for my Nexus 7 and Dualshock 3. They're really high quality and have excellent texture.

    Not for Galaxy Nexus :(

    • Pengwn

If it was available for the GNex, I would have bought one so fast. I kept scrolling, and scrolling.. got to the galaxy section and was thoroughly disappointed :(

      • http://www.twitter.com/RaptorHawk Hawk

        Me too.

  • Evctr

Looks good enough to eat...if I were a beaver. I'll have to settle on simply buying them instead. Just ordered on for my N7 and N4. If they look as good in real life as they do on the site, who knows, I may just have a few nibbles anyway.

Interesting that wood paneling is (for some reason) becoming trendy in the mobile world. I just really hope car manufacturers don't get the wrong idea...

    • http://www.twitter.com/ninjustin ninjustin

The wood paneling is the only thing that monstrosity has going for it.

  • k0rf

    Omg ordered one directly!

Man if I wasn't in love with the stock back.... I would totally buy this 0.0

  • anezarati

i currently have a titanium one on my n4. anyone know of a good way to take one off if i ever wanted to get a different one?

    • Kandiboyyy

Pick at the bottom left corner of the device (the one without the speaker) and then use a clean dull knife (or your finger nail) to gently pull/lift it off. Put it back in the dbrand packaging to keep it safe for reapplying..

  • Mike

    £7.60 done!

  • Thomas Cai Jinzhan

looks good...but i wonder will this work for nexus 4 wireless orb (which i used frequently)........

    • kpjimmy

I use a custom skin from dbrand and have used it on the orb without issue. Even works with the Ringke Fusion case on.

  • sid

    No Note 2 :(

  • elliot mane

As a past customer, I love my case. Custom built and durable as hell.

The wood cases are still being sold, above link was broken thought I would post a new one. http://bit.ly/UI2SU9 - takes you to the build page.
