Update: It looks like the seller has increased the price to $175, which makes this not such a good deal.

The 2013 Nexus 7 is probably the best Android tablet you can buy now, but the 2012 model has been given a new lease on life with the Android 4.3 update. If you still want one, the 32GB last-generation Nexus 7 is on sale through eBay Daily Deal today for a downright reasonable $139.99.

Android 4.3 added TRIM support, which is reportedly speeding the old N7 up. As a refresher, it has a Tegra 3 quad-core ARM chip and a 1280x800 LCD screen. It can't match the new N7, but this is a whole lot cheaper than the current 32GB N7 at $269.99.

This deal includes free standard shipping in the US, but quantities are limited. So get on it if you're interested.

Trust me, as a 2013 owner, it's worth the extra cost.

..Not when i got my 1st gen 2012 32GB mint in box with a TPU case for 120. I took the 2013 16GB i got from BestBuy (for ~250 after taxes) back, and i'm glad i did so. Running stock 4.3 and i'm happy with it, no lags or slow down for what i use it for, games, email, web browsing etc. I'll take the savings of 130 in lieu of extra ram, CPU and screen res.

Where can I get the $120 deal on Nexus 32GB 2012?

I was just lucky to find one at that price. That's all. Wasn't advertized or anything.

Still patiently awaiting news on the LTE model. :(

After using an HTC One since launch, I just got my old N7 a month ago and compared to the One, it was hooooorrrribly sluggish on 4.2.2, and it still is a bit on 4.3. Just no match for newer SOC's and better storage I/O.
Getting my 2013 version tomorrow, so I'm pretty psyched to see how they've improved it. Overall, I still like the older model a lot, they got many things right, one was the price naturally. Haven't had any problems besides the sluggishness when I run multiple apps and switch between them, as I always do, especially when I play Ingress.

Guys, do you have an idea shy this product became a refurbished good?
Was it on display? Was it used and returned by a customer? Was it defective during manufacturing process and went through repair? Or was simply box in a bad condition?
