The price will increase if you sign up after that date (probably to 9.99 GBP / Euro a month). Thanks for confirmation, everyone!

Google has updated its international availability page for the Play Store, and the All Access section has had a slew of countries added - all European. Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, and the UK will be the first EU countries to get a taste of Play Music All Access, Google's all-you-can-listen Spotify competitor. Pricing for the respective markets is not yet known.

All Access launched in the US in May at Google I/O, and a few weeks ago the service expanded to Australia and New Zealand.

That brings All Access to a total of 12 countries, only one fewer than the entire Google Play Music service supports (Germany is still missing from All Access).

The expansion of All Access remains otherwise unannounced at this point, as far as we can tell, but an update to this page should mean users in these countries will start seeing the service become available in the coming days. However, it's also possible someone jumped the gun, so don't panic if you're not seeing it by then.

That said, if you are in one of the newly-supported countries, let us know if you can now sign up for All Access! We've also reached out to Google for confirmation.

  • Phill_S

Yay, been waiting for this announcement since it launched.

  • Claude Gohier

Hmm. I wonder what's missing? Oh yeah! Canada...

    • Wazzifer

Dude. You could activate both services with like three clicks away. Come on.

      • Andrew

Yeah, I use both and I'm in Canada. Once you've activated the service, you don't need a VPN to continue accessing it.

        • Wazzifer

Exactly. I got my friend to use it in Romania, and she's getting it for $7.99 too!

        • Divvy

But you need a US credit card to pay for the service

          • Andrew

I used a prepaid Visa that I registered with a US address. So far I'm still in the free trial, so here's hoping it still works once that's over.

          • Wazzifer

It should. My friend used a gift card too lol.

          • Christian Riese

Not exactly right, you can use any international credit card but you have to use an american address while adding you credit card to your wallet account. Just add the white houses address or what else, nothing will be delivered to this address ever ;)

          • Divvy

Hmm I'll try. How do I get to the all access sign up page then? It used to be in my music settings page, but now it's gone

          • Christian Riese

If you dismissed the initial sign up flow for Google Play Music All Access, but want to sign up for a subscription, please visit the Google Play Music Settings page from your computer or device to start the sign up process again.

From support.google.com - I think you should try that

          • Colin Kealty

wait with this could i also buy music from google music ??

          • Christian Riese

well, that should be possible, dont know, google music is available in germany, so its no problem for me to buy music :/

          • Grimmjow

The address in Google Wallet needs to be any random US address. I've done it.

    • yobbei

not until the day the music die...

      come on google.

      • j

        sorry, that's AMERICAN pie.

  • Ender Ceylan

Germany missing can surely be explained with the GEMA being a bunch of cunts again.

    • Thomas’

Yeah, why actually getting money for your members when you can instead drive people into piracy?

      GEMA logic.

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/rsrmean rMean

cunt being a kind word for them. actually, this is an insult to all cunts ;-)

    • NathanDrago

Sorry for you guys, but if here in Italy we've got it, I'm sure you can't be that far away ;-)

    • bL4Ck

And here i thought italy SIAE was the worst, well they still charge us an extra for any kind of storage media, since you know, we can store pirated mp3's there, so they want a cut.

  • Maxime

Does anyone know why the Netherlands isn't included? All the other countries in the region are.

    • Edgar

No idea. But I have Spotify, and Netflix is coming to The Nederlands, so I guess Google can go screw themselves.

    • Matt

Especially given the Benelux union. Very weird.

    • Gerjannn

I'm wondering the same. Will have to do something with BREIN maybe. It's weird because Belgium has and the Netherlands don't. But till then, I'll stick with Spotify :)

  • TheFreal

Why is germany left out? They were the second to get Play Music, the second to get gift cards, what would stop them from lauching All Acess here?

    • Force

      Because of GEMA I guess

    • Thomas’

Let me guess: a combination of sucky music labels and GEMA?

    • Songokuu

You are not alone. Poland is still missing too...

    • anzensepp1987

Germany was never second. Think of the UK.

  • Grimmjow

They're bringing it to countries that are easy to do and already have Music.

  • Brandon Freeman

Just checked and was greeted with this: http://puu.sh/3WgWQ.jpg I'm in the UK.

    • http://www.androidpolice.com/ David Ruddock

      Nice, thanks!

    • Niall Till

  • iSadic™

I'm in Italy, just signed in free trial! :D

    • http://www.androidpolice.com/ David Ruddock

Hey, could I get the pricing per month?

      • RockAndRock

It's only 7,99 euros per month
Deezer (9,99e) is more expensive than GPMAA :D

      • Federico Gualdi

I'ts 7,99 if you join by the 15th of September, if you sign later it's 9.99€

      • iSadic™

7.99€ if you get the trial before the September 15th.

      • disqus_TJHtAb4bDg

I'm not sure of what happened here, maybe I'm missing something. The play store tells me I will be charged 7,99 €, but google wallet says 6,50 in the subscription panel. http://puu.sh/3WALh.png

Maybe it's 6,50€ before taxes, but they are supposed to always be included in France.

  • Sam Boswell

In the UK, I now have All Access :D

  • http://www.nonsensebb.com/ Dextro

I can confirm that the Play Music website just gave me the option to try All Access here in Portugal :)

  • JonJJon

Ouch us Brits stabbed in the wallet again -_-

    • porter86

As a brit living in Germany I'm jealous you're getting stabbed in the wallet..

    • bL4Ck

Indeed 1:1 conversion is not really fair for UK, that's 9,30€.

Now an Play Movies (& TV) All Access Service please!

  • Federico Gualdi
  • Melkersson

Bring this to the Nordic countries (Sweden, in particular), you bastards! Can't believe it's taking them so unbelievably long. It's as if Google was some small startup rather than one of the largest tech companies in the world. At least we got Books a while back, yay...

  • rasty++

  • GoBlue

When is this coming to iOS?

    • RockAndRock

      It's a joke ??

  • John Daniel

Fantastic. Just activated free trial here in UK. Crisis of conscience now between this and Spotify as I was really liking Spotify for the last few weeks but it did seem like they only started adding some quite basic features recently because they new Google Music was about the make them redundant.

  • natabbotts

    UK Working!

  • victorvics

    better pricing than spotify!!! awesome

  • Guest

Do you have to sign up with the app? I can't find how to do it on the web version....

  • Luis

    Up and running in Portugal

  • CoffeeGeeker

Another reason to give CIRA the big F-U for no legit Google Play Music services in Canada. We have to bypass the country cockblocking to use the cloud service, but without a US-based debit card or credit card, you can't buy music. Both Google and Amazon have been trying to negotiate the music services in Canada (Amazon MP3 going back to 2009, when the company famously promised to bring the service to Canada that year by the end of the year) but the Canadian rights licensors have put up every conceivable roadblock. As a result. Canadians pirate music like there's no tomorrow, and the industry is losing tens of millions (hundreds of millions?) of dollars in royalties that Google, Amazon and others would have paid out.

    • Grant Rietze

Just curious, what makes you think CIRA has anything to do with this type of legislation/authority?

      • CoffeeGeeker

CIRA is one of the main licensors and negotiators for music rights and royalties in Canada. They're also the lobby group behind the recordable CD and DVD and memory card levies in Canada.

        • Grant Rietze

          *points at daveisareporter's response*

    • daveisareporter

CIRA is Canada's registration authority, which handles domain names. I think you mean CRIA. But there are various reasons services like Google Play Music and Hulu aren't available in Canada ranging from IP laws, to industry push-back, to the price of delivery relative to the size of the market. We can't really point to one institution or body as holding us back.

      • CoffeeGeeker

Yes - apologies my minor dyslexia is showing here - I meant to type CRIA, not CIRA. I bring them up because in 2010 Amazon specifically mentioned them as one of the bodies they were negotiating with for bringing Amazon MP3 to Canada (and obviously that hasn't gone anywhere).

  • Markus

I'm able now to sign up! Regards, Markus, Austria

  • irman

Got my free trial in Belgium... :D

  • Ybarra

  • Gabbo

This isn't really convenient unless you are using a Nexus. In which case storage space becomes a nuisance and you're forced to use cloud services. I just think there are better ones out there that get the job done, and they're free.

  • gosa

How much of my data plan will something like this "eat"?
    - Have to admit that I haven't really "been around" when it comes to streaming, but I imagine that the money you have to spend on a good data plan here in Spain makes any streaming serivice a very bad deal...

One example is that the data plans that are considered "good" (with regards to price) offers between 800mb-1gb for just under 10€/month. How would such a plan work with streamed music?

  • chiocken

Got it in the UK this morning.

  • mant0x

If I won't like it, may I cancel payment after 30 days? I'm confused, cause I really want to try it.

  • Michał Droździewicz

And as always: they forgot Poland ;)

  • Steve Williamson

Signed up... now i have 30 days to test whether its better than spotify... (spotify has been good to me.. i will be sad to leave if it is the case though)

Looking forwards to testing google recommandations and checking their sharing playlists are as good as spotify

  • jj

This monthly paying subscription model is not attractive to most users...bring us free streaming music with advertising. Artists reach a much wider audience this way.

    • Grant Rietze

So.... Radio? Vevo without the videos?

  • Eric

Not worth it, songs stop in the middle of the track, when I contacted google about it, they said it was my 3 g connection in orlando florida. switched back to spotify, NO PROBLEMS!
