Want to get your hands on Sony's flagship Android smartphone? The Xperia Z is launching today exclusively under T-Mobile in the US. Consumers can get the phone from any Sony Store or online. Those who do so will receive a free Sony Wireless Bluetooth Speaker with their purchase (while supplies last, naturally). Anyone who doesn't live near a Sony Store yet wants to try out the phone in person can experience it inside T-Mobile stores come July 17, where it will cost $99.99 upfront followed by 24 monthly payments of $20. Customers who pre-order from T-Mobile on July 16 will also receive the Sony Wireless Bluetooth Speaker.

If you haven't heard of the Xperia Z before, it's no slouch. This water-resistant handset comes in either purple (limited availability) or black and provides a taste of Android 4.1 via a 5-inch 1080p display. There's a 13MP camera embedded in the back and an advertised STAMINA mode is said to improve battery life by automatically shutting down extraneous background apps when the screen is off. There's 2GB of RAM here, along with 16GB of internal storage and a MicroSD card slot. With its 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, the Xperia Z is nothing to sniff at.
