Never tried a field runners. Is it worth a go?

    • fixxmyhead

Nah unless u like tower defense games. I just got tired of the same up and down wall of gun strategy

    • J Carlos

If you like the tower defense genre, then Field Runners is the game to get. It has the best graphics and game play of an TD type game.

That speedview app is such a great idea, and I LOVE the heads-up-display (HUD) feature. It's a very clever implementation for nighttime driving. The speed-limit warnings are also a big plus. HUD navigation would be simply amazing.

Check this one out too. It's similar, free, and works very well with my Nexus 7. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=idv.xunqun.navier&hl=en

I never understood the attraction of most of those speedometer apps when you have a speedometer right there in your car all the time...

I will admit though, the "HUD" feature is pretty cool.

    • Ray

A lot of speedos, especially in newer cars (at least here in Oz) are often quite a few kilometers out.

The speed limit might be 100km/h for example. On your speedo it reads 100km but in actual fact, you might be doing more like 95km/h.

These apps help determine just how far out the speedo in the car was. Not something I'd use every day but it's great for making sure your speedo is accurate and if not, by how far.

I used it when trying to calibrate my bike computer and see how accurate it is.

Also, when I'm a backseat driver and want to know exactly how fast we're going and then lecture everyone about speeding. /troll
