How useful is a portable device with a dead battery? Not useful. What about a bag full of them? Still not useful, and possibly a little dangerous in the wrong part of town. But what if the bag charged those devices for you? No safer, but it's now too awesome to matter. This is what Vault's Powerbag has to offer. The bag comes with a whopping 3K mAh battery and a sporty red exterior, and new members can get their hands on one today for just $14. That's a full $60 less than what it's currently running for on Amazon.

Update: Unsurprisingly, it appears all of these bags have now been grabbed. There's nothing left to see here.

Okay, time for the details. The actual sales price is $39. New members who follow a referral link will get an additional $25 off. People who choose to sign up from the website directly will just get $15 off instead. That's still a substantial discount from the bag's original $130 cost.

Reported features

Charge literally hundreds of devices including smartphones, eReaders and many tablets. Tablets must be charged with their own USB cable through Powerbag's on-board USB port
  • The logo button turns Powerbag on or off when you press and hold for 2 seconds. Or press the logo button once quickly to see how much power you have left
  • Water-resistant AC adapter charging port. When it's time to recharge Powerbag simply connect the included AC adapter and plug it into a wall outlet
  • The contoured straps and back panel are designed to keep you comfortable even when your Backpack is filled to the brim

There aren't many reasons not to jump on this deal, unless you just can't stand the color red.

It's stuff like this that makes me appreciate my Razr Maxx HD's 3300 mAh battery all the more. It's almost impossible engineering.

  • George Fayad

In for one, even though my Razr MAXX HD doesn't need to be charged on the go!

  • David Margolin

    amazing price

  • hajmola

why use 3k mAH instead of 3 AH?

    • http://twitter.com/rohanXm Rohan Mathur

mAh is more recognizable to the consumer who buys their devices whose battery listing is in mAh

  • Giuliano

    Done and Done!

  • http://www.anivision.org/ Christopher Bailey (Xcom923)

3000mAH isn't really all that much my extended battery on my phone is 7k. That all said, I still bought this.

    • Michael Pahl

is your phone 12 inches thick?

      • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Artem Russakovskii

It's probably using the ZeroLemon battery. I threw the link up at the top right corner of AP as it's a great deal.

        • http://www.anivision.org/ Christopher Bailey (Xcom923)

Yup, Oddly enough I've got a lot of stuff recommended from the AP staff

    • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Artem Russakovskii

Especially when the efficiency of these chargers is about 70%, but a little extra juice doesn't hurt. Think of it as a backpack you can throw in your 12k mAh charger into that also came with a 3k mAh battery.

      • OSagnostic

I would be very surprised if the efficiency was that low. DC to DC converters are normally very efficient.

        • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Artem Russakovskii

Don't be surprised. In fact, this 70% figure was given to me straight by New Trent's engineering via their PR when I complained about not getting as much juice as I thought I would be in their new charger. Although I don't have concrete numbers from other manufacturers, I believe that's about the norm for these. Stuff manufacturers will not post about or discuss in the open.

  • Luc

too bad they don't do international shipping...

  • Marcos

    It's only for US, right?

    • Amer Khaznadar

Yep. That sadly seems to be the case.

  • kpjimmy

Bought the powerbag sling bag from woot thanks to AP, now this!!! For $14 pls tax ($2.44 in Texas). Still an impossible NOT to buy deal. Thanks AP!

  • Bariman43

Goddammit there goes $14. Considering the fact we're about to go camping/hiking in few days, and my Galaxy Nexus has the worst battery on teh planet, I pretty much had to pick one up.

  • http://techintherealwrld.com/ TechintheRlWrld

Holy crap, good eye AP. Bought!

  • David Allen

Thanks for the heads up. Placed my order even though I don't need the battery in it I did need the laptop bag so 2 birds 1 stone. My Note II and its 9300 mAH battery probably wont even charge from this thing anyway but I can always offer a charge to people with Iphones.

  • wolfkabal

I'm in for one, but gotta ask, how many referrals does AP have now and how many $25 credits have you received. Someone is banking on this one haha!

    • Varu Era

I think someone should bought $75+ to get $25 referrels.

      • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Artem Russakovskii

        Yup, you're correct.

    • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Artem Russakovskii

We haven't received any credit because as @varuera:disqus pointed out, the purchases need to be $75+.

As for the link itself, if we didn't provide one, you would only be able to get $15 off instead of $25, so including it was a no-brainer.

      • wolfkabal

Ah, I must have mis-read it (simply glanced). I'm not bashing. 99% wouldn't know about it without AP's posting, and I saved an extra $10 with it. Just find it amusing when I see things like this (not just from AP).

        Thanks again :)

  • maclifer

Thanks I couldn't resist this deal... first time I've purchased an extended charging system or whatever it's called... ;-) $14 was just too great and in a few days it'll show up at work like a belated Father's Day surprise. Cool!

  • Joe Menard

THANK YOU Just ordered one :)

    • JensAstrup

I'm pretty sure we're giving him $25 for ever order so, you're welcome Bertel King :P

  • Andrew Watkins

Bought one, going to turn a profit on it and sell it locally to someone who might actually need it. I have a Razr Maxx (XT912), so I don't need this backpack. But for $14? It's worth it.

  • Royal2000H

3000mAh is tiny. I bought a 18000mAh battery that works well both for my laptops and Galaxy Nexus. It's obviously more expensive but it's far far more useful and you can put it in any backpack you please.

    • Benjamin Pavel

      My thoughts exactly.
I rather buy 30,000 mAh power bank for 25$ + some quality backpack for 20$ and put that power bank in to the front pocket and sew some holes trough for cables and i'm done lol.

  • Ricardo Ferreira

    WHYYYYY, Oh gosh.. WHHYYYY!

Those deals should accept paypal even if they won't ship it internationally. I would love to give this bag to my brother that lives in the US but it seems that I won't be able to enjoy this bargain.. :(

    • kpjimmy

      Send him the referral link.

      • Ricardo Ferreira

Whut? I've sent them (Vau.lt) an email about this issue/nuisance but my brother can't even get out of Word to do tables and is scared to death about buying stuff on the interwebs (you know you know people like this).. I'll try but it was supposed to be a gift.. Thanks tho!

  • CorneliousJD

Great deal. picked one up, thanks!

  • Medvedi Petrovichi

  • kpjimmy

I think I got my shipping confirm this morning. About 4.8lbs and shipped via amazon on UPS? Should be here tomorrow.

  • kpjimmy

Got my red bag in. And it's big! Which is a great thing. I mean I can put in my 15.6 laptop with ease. A lot of space and the shoulder pads are nice and cushy. Awesome bag to take with me to Disneyworld or park. The zippers are crazy smooth to open and close. Where I find a lot of bags lack in this area. And comparing it to my other Powerbag/messenger bag, I have to say they each have their plus and minuses. The messenger bag even though can technically hold more, the pockets where the chargers are in the messenger bag can't hold any phones really, but in the backpack, maybe two, depending on how thick your phone cases are may fit.

All in all, both are awesome bags, the quality of each are fantastic. Charging your devices like a Nexus 7 tablet, for me is very simple. For 16 bux shipped, it's a no brainer. I meant to buy the bag for the spare power cord lol.
