Do you know Andru? He's possibly the most adorable little phone charger you'll ever see. With a USB port on top of his head, he'll charge right into your heart. Now folks from Europe and the UK can get an Andru of their very own with the new SHUTL adapters. Maybe to make up for the delay, there are some deals to be had.

The Andru charger has a US plug, but the new $6.99 SHUTL adapters turn Andru into a European or UK plug. Sure, there are other adapters out there, but this one matches. Keep in mind the SHUTL and Andru are sold separately on PoweredbyGen. The new coiled USB cables are out too. They also sell for $6.99.

Now for the deals. If you buy an adapter and Andru from PoweredbyGen, you can get 25% off the adapter. It's not huge, but it's still a deal. In honor of Father's Day, PoweredbyGen is also offering a coupon code that knocks the price of Andru down to $19.99. Just enter 4DAD at checkout. Anyone in Europe can get Andru and a SHUTL bundled at Salom for £20.99. That's not bad.

    that is so neat! want!

  • Formhault

So... for all we know, this charger may output anywhere from 5V~500mA to 24V~20A... -___-

    • Dima Aryeh

      It outputs one amp.

      • TylerChappell

That is correct. Supposedly little Andru isn't large enough for them to fit 2 amps of charging power inside his little body.

  • Alter

It's a shame it has to be used with an adapter, his legs seem perfectly fitted for a EU plug. He is cute, though.

I wish they had a similar adapter for the US. If you aren't plugging him in to a surge protector, he winds up sticking out horizontally and looks odd. If I could get him to stand upright out of the wall I would be a happy camper.

  • Tony Sarju

    Yeah....not for $20.

  • TylerChappell

That's cool that they have the little coiled cables for them now, but they are a bit pricey.
I got my Andru Dark for free thanks to the wonderful people over at DL who liked my comment back in december.
And then I bought the green and white Andru's during the valentine's day promotion where you get both for $35. Pricey, yes, but they are really cool and I always get compliments on them anytime I take them somewhere. I wish their retail price was $20 instead of $25. They make an excellent gift though just to have something different or neat. Also, Gen seems to have excellent customer service and be a pretty good company, so I didn't feel bad paying a little more for a cute pair of chargers.
