I'd like to see a review of the HD+ now that it features the Play Store.

  • Cory Wilson

That's a great deal, and I've played with the HD, very nice, especially with play store support. The screen is of retina quality.

  • JustReboot

I picked one up last week Nook HD+ 32GB for 181 with tax (B+N sent me a coupon early) nice device / rooted easily via sd card 1080p screen great battery life. Very happy.

  • Tyler Humphreys

It should also be noted that you can pick it up at various retailers such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart for the same price.

    • jonathan3579

      Thanks for that info.

I picked up a 16GB HD+ during the Mother's Day promo. I have been very pleased with it. I was even impressed with many aspects of their launcher. Regarding the Google Play Store, my biggest issue is that the device doesn't have GPS, and several apps I want to install require GPS (even though it's rarely a core function of the app).

you can flash location services zip from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2062613 to let device claim it has gps (and it even works with bluetooth gps), you may need to clear play store data or wait few hours before the store notices updates device features

My mom is getting a tablet eventually, she is getting tired of the laptop game and it will goto my dad when his laptop dies which will prolly be sooner then later. However I heard the next nexus tablet will be $150 so I think I will hold out for that one. I'm not keen on the under powered gpu and the non standard port on the nook.
