Welcome to the Android Police Podcast Live for Thursday, May 16th! We'll be starting soon - if you don't see a YouTube player, we haven't begun.

Welcome to the home of the Android Police Podcast's live broadcast. We're live every Thursday at 5PM PST (8PM EST) - or perhaps a few minutes after that - every week. This post will be stickied on the Android Police homepage whenever we're broadcasting, so if you see it, we're either live right now, or about to be!

If it's 5PM and this week's show is not yet live, please stand by! You can hang in the IRC chatroom below.

    Two questions guys..

    Eric, what headphones are those?

Why don't you have a guest on every podcast who isn't part of the androidpolice team or doesn't live in the US?

Hey guys. I missed the live podcast today but I just finished watching it. Just left you guys a podcast review on iTunes and I hope other people do the same. I've only been watching since September or something but it's been a great time for me so far. Thanks for the fun show and may your next year be even better!

Their argument about about carrier unlocking is simply wrong. They are assuming that unlocking your phone = terminating contract. WHY? This is ridiculous, unlocking your phone in no way terminates your contract, you are still fully obligated to pay to your contract.

The only thing I don't like about the podcast is that here in Europe it starts at 02:00 am (gmt+2). It would be great if it was 1 or 2 hours earlier, because we all agree it's better with the live chat.

Anyway I appreciate you are honest on your reviews: "I don't want to talk about another asus tablet no one is going to buy. What are you doing Asus!". Epic.

I didn't believe that Google+ Messenger was not accessible via browser, but of course I was wrong. I swore I remembered sending messages from the browser in the early days of Google+, but I checked and they are from August 2011. I can find message boards of people complaining about the issue online before that. There was news from Google, if the source below is correct, that Google is merging Google+ Hangouts, Google+ Messenger and Google Talk. I love that the product manager from Google admitted, 'We have done an incredibly poor job servicing our users here.' Is it true that Google has plans to merge the three? What's the latest news on that? If it's taking this long, should we expect something impressive?

Why are these podcasts not showing up in my You Tube feed? The last one that shows up is episode 49.

Hey guys. Great podcast today. However I did want to say that there is a small minority of us out here who do think of sound production out of our tablets. I love watching movies or listening to music over my tablets and phones. Thus I'm very tempted to buy a HTC One, and also a Nexus 10 or possibly a Kindle Fire HD. I still have a HP Touchpad that I've been trying to replace but haven't made the move because I was having trouble finding a tablet that was able to produce the same volume and sound quality that the Beats audio speakers in the Touchpad were able to produce. Only now since the release of the Galaxy Note 10.1 have Android tablets been okay to listen to music through but I wasn't going to drop $500 on another Galaxy tablet being that after only one years time the resale price on my (first gen)Galaxy Tab 10.1 dropped to $250. Well now that the MeMo Pad has great sounding speakers at $300 then maybe that's my next buy. Thanks for the heads up.

Verizon is wanting to lease spectrum from Clear, not buy it. Also, the payment plan is for devices that retail $350 and higher, with a 12 month payment plan and $24 finance charge.

You guys complained a lot about the new Play Music app saying it doesn't have a simple feature, while the feature is there in front of your face.

In the Listen Now, My Library and Playlist section, you can select 'all music' or 'on device'. it's right there. It's in the basic holo menu button in most app.
