Square Enix is kind of known for having some pretty hefty prices on its games, even those outside of the Final Fantasy franchise. For that reason, we always like to see a sale that might make the purchase a little more palatable. If you've been eyeing Demons' Score since it launched in December, now is the time to jump on it. Until April 25th, the rhythm-action game will only cost $9.99.

A $10 price tag is still a little steep compared to a typical Android game, but it is pretty reasonable for the graphic quality and level of polish Square Enix is known for. However, it's worth noting that the game can only be played on select Tegra 3 devices.

Still, this is probably the lowest you will find Demons' Score in the foreseeable future, so hit the Play Store link below to grab it before the opportunity is gone.

I bought this on sale for my iPad. I paid $0.99. This price makes no sense.

That's because iOS is build around the in-app payments while the Android version basically has all of the IAPs paid for up front. From what I read in the comments, I guess there are still some IAPs to make some of the fights easier, but you don't have to pay to unlock characters like the iOS version requires. It's interesting that Square Enix decided to try different models on each platform, but it would have been smart to make that clear in the description.

Wow... its a great game but that really pisses me off, especially if I had paid $20. And the android IAPs in it are still crippling at higher difficulty levels, being the ONLY way to get health potions.

    Looks stupid

So, if I bought this on my Nexus 7, could I just use Titanium Backup to transfer the game to my Optimus G?
Do Tegra 3 exclusives have some sort of software check for Tegra when they open?

    • Steez

Yes they usually do, majority of them won't work on non-tegra devices, even sideloaded. That being said, it sounds like youre rooted so check out chainfire, that will get some of them running.

what the hell is this game? a rail shooter?

    • atlouiedog

It's pretty hard to tell from the trailer. At least the screenshots aren't pictures of a character standing in front of 3 tiny screenshots with nonsensical text covering most of them. I've never understood that.

Think of Tap Tap Revenge. Those circles have a pointer spinning around and you tap them when they have made a full turn. It's all done to match the music. Check out gameplay videos to get a better idea.

Unlike TTR, this has a storyline and obviously a completely different graphical style. It looks neat, and the reviews are really positive (except those that complain about the price or Tegra 3 exclusivity), but it's not really my type of game.

I am too old to play this kind of games

I prefer they port Final Fantasy 10-13 to android.

  • Matthew Fry

Weird how the iOS version runs this without the Tegra 3 just fine...

Only for tegra 3 ? THis stupid

Why not make it available to more devices. THe sales should be several times better.
