If you happened to miss out on the chance to get last year's flagship for $380 when it hit eBay's Daily Deals site earlier this month, it's back again. While the GSIII may not be the hottest phone money can buy any more, it's still a very capable handset that will likely continue to be well supported by Samsung over the coming months (and then some).

The only "downside" of today's deal is that it's for the blue and black variants only – white and red are already sold out. Still, if you don't mind the limited color selection, $380 is a great deal for this handset. Hit the link below to buy.

Update: Here's another one that just popped up - same price but a different seller: Samsung Galaxy S III on eBay Daily Deals #2

Why would anybody get this over a Nexus 4? I actually can't think of a single advantage other than durability maybe

    • lordmerovingian

Expandable memory (8 or 16 GB ONLY doesn't cut it nowadays), more durable, better battery life, oh, and i actually like TWiz (i know, heresy) etc. I'd take my S3 over the Nexus 4 any day, not even Jesus can convince me otherwise.
And please, don't go into the usual ode about updates, there's always AOSP and AOKP if i wanted to run stock Android that bad (i find it boring).

Well I mean the Touchwiz thing is your personal opinion, but I have to agree it has some nice aesthetic features like swipe to call/text ...etc.

Advantages? Better camera - front and back - as well.Having owned all of the Nexus devices with the exception of S, I can conclude all of the Nexus devices are quite lacking, but the Nexus One.

Galaxy S3 has a really good developer community

Camera will also be a matter of opinion. Played with both, found the S3 better.

Tired of everyone praising old ass phones like the nexus one. No it wasn't that great

Umm... I'm talking about the phone in respect to its time period. Back when it was released, the Nexus One was by far the best Android phone on the market...possibly until the Galaxy S2. Plus, it looked pretty :)

For its time it was pretty damn great. It was the first Android to use the original Snapdragon processor which finally brought a usable speed to smartphones. It really lacked internal storage which was a huge bummer if you used it past its first year of being out, though. Also has 512MB RAM which was pretty new for the time. The Droid which came out a month or so earlier had just 256MB RAM and I found it to be always low on memory and killing your background tasks.

Don't bother if your outside the U.S.A. The seller wants $50 for standard international shipping. I'm sure the last deal was free international shipping.

And shipping on the second deal is $99.95. It's priority FedEx, but still at that cost it's more logical to just say they don't do worldwide shipping.

    Still overpriced
