The Galaxy Note 10.1, Samsung's creativity-minded, advanced digitizer-packing slab from last year has been a lot of places – everywhere from the crazy life of James Franco to the music stands of the Brussels Philharmonic. If you've followed the 10.1's life so far, but haven't pulled the trigger to buy a unit for yourself, you're in luck – Woot.com has a deal on the tablet, offering up the 16GB variant, refurbished, for $329.99, while the tablet, new, usually sells for around $449.

If this sounds like the deal you've been waiting for (it's cheaper than the last three deals we've seen), you've got 16 hours to take advantage of it, or until supplies run out. Just hit the link below.

Can't decide between this and the Nexus 10. I kind of feel that anything less than the N10's screen resolution is just selling myself short for future-proofing.

I did get to play with the note 10.1 though at best buy the other day and it does seem like a great tablet.

Fairly sure these support CM 10.1

but then you lose all the nice s-pen functionality, don't you?

you only lose the samsung apps but you still have the spen function and shortcuts

I've come to find out you lose eraser support. If someone knows how to restore that in CM 10.1 I would be very grateful! =D

From what I've read the kernel only knows about 2 buttons on the stylus the primary on the stylus drawing end and the secondary which is the button on the stylus. The kernel driver needs to be modified to include the tertiary button on the eraser end.

The Note 10.1 has an excellent digitizer, and Samsung's screen-splitting stuff. Other than those two things, I will recommend the Nexus 10 every single time.

I got my mother one last time and I've been wanting one since. She loves it. I really want the next revision of the Note 10.1 which feels like news of it is due soon but I've seen no mention of it yet.

Have we seen any news on the next Note tablets (outside of the 8)? There were rumors and leaked specs of the next "tab" models, but none seemed to strongly point to Note versions. I really want a 10" Note tablet (or larger even), but hate to pass on a good deal if we're going to be waiting another 8 months-year.

I got the 10.1. I need it for note taking in college. Super excited to have it arrive...

Bought it and got it in today. Installed Cyanogenmod 10.1 and installed LectureNote. It is amazing! Well worth the money. :-)
