It's time for us to come clean. We've been collectively living a lie, Android fans. Hiding our deepest desires and hoping they go away. Praying that maybe, Duarte willing, that we'll get something that's close enough that we'll be satisfied. But no more! Today, we shed the façade and embrace the truth: all we really want is a clean, simple UI that's not cluttered by drawers, widgets, or icons in shapes other than rounded squares. Oh yes, and slide-to-unlock. Glorious slide-to-unlock. Well, now we can have it with the Screen Locker plugin for Espier Launcher.

The plugin is an addition to the Espier Launcher that gives you the look and feel of the OS you've always dreamed of. You'll have to enable it in the Espier Hub, but that just gives you the added experience of being able to flip one of those satisfying blue switches. Once it's on, you can set a four-digit numeric passcode (patterns are silly), and finally participate in the slide-to-unlock craze that's revolutionizing the world.

Both the launcher and the lock screen are free on the Play Store right now. Grab them, and fulfill your destiny.

Haha, I'm just kidding. I'd never let anything that looks like iOS near my Nexus. But hey, it might be a good, last-minute way to prank your friends.

And if you really, really want to wow them, pull some sleight of hand with a quick switch to Launcher 8 and have them awed at your truly unholy Android powers, HA

The wording of this article clearly shows that it was meant to be an April Fools' Day joke. ;P

Except Espier is a very real iOS close launcher for Android. It's been around for a while.

Throw up, with a side of shart.

    • John O’Connor

I think I threw up a little in your mouth too.

I may not be a famous or wealthy writer, but if I can make just one person throw up in someone else's mouth, it all seems worth it.

Haha, I always look forward to your comments to your own articles. Bravo!

Why anyone would want to pussify an android phone with that lock screen is beyond me. But android is all about choice, so whatever..

  • iPhonewhorrior

    #HOLOYOLO on mah iPhones!

  • firethorn

Oh god, why? Every time I manage to forget about this launcher someone has to bring it up again. Now I don't feel so well.... blaaaargh.

  • Christopher Robert

ok for real... All of the vomit pictures were unnecessary, funny, but completely unnecessary.

There is still a large amount of people who are transitioning from iPhone to Android and this is like training wheels, or a crutch for them. Fanboyism for iSheep was a strong addiction I have heard it is worse than quitting cigarettes, think of this as the iPhone patch, or gum. lol
