Update 3/18/13: Those who missed out the first forty-seven times now have another chance. Alternatively, a bunch of refurbished units popped up for $219.99. It's $10 cheaper once it's all said and done, but they are refurbs after all.

Update 2/23/13: How about a third round?

Update 2/14/13: The deal has popped back up today. Grab them while they're hot.

If you're still looking high and low for a good deal on the Nexus 7, and eBay's recent deal on refurb 16GB units didn't entice you, we've come across yet another deal: seller buydig, through eBay, is offering the 32GB Nexus 7 for $259.99. Of course, the 32GB Nexus 7 normally costs $249.99, but the sale doesn't end with the tablet – buyers will also get a $30 VISA gift card and a set of ear buds.

Sure, the ear buds are fairly generic, and there's no way of knowing what color you'll get, but a total savings of $20 (plus free shipping) isn't too bad a deal.

It's worth noting before you buy that the listing indicates up to an 8 week lead time for the VISA gift card, but if that doesn't deter you, just hit the link below to take advantage of the deal.

Except on Amazon it's more expensive than even the Play Store itself.

true, and i wouldn't consider them an option,

Newegg is good, usually free shipping and no tax

Mine came in yesterday. It had the dead battery bug. Second broken unit I've gotten. I'm done with the nexus 7.

    I don't see this as a Deal!

the one with $229 + free shipping, that was a deal!!!

What? $259-$30 = same $229, plus you get free earbuds. How's that not a deal?

      • Zaatour36

i agree, but didn't like the idea of a gift card and worrying how you can use it all without leaving something there (usually I do gas with my MIR credit cards)

Easy - you just check the balance when there's only a little bit remaining. Then the next time you pay for something, you say I want to put $x.yz on this card, and the rest (in cash, on this other card, etc). I can't imagine how much money banks make on money left on gift cards. My wife laughs at me, but I have no shame whatsoever in having whatever store charge my gift card for the $1.42 left on it and the rest on my other card. Otherwise its just free money to the banks.

I picked this up this morning after getting my slickdeals alert. apparently people are saying that they're getting a $30 paypal refund instead of the 6 week wait for the gift card.
