A few days ago, GO released a 36-hour trial version of its over-the-top launcher, Next. This gives users a chance to experience all the 3D animations, flips, twist, and bends that come along with the $16 launcher, all without paying a dime. If your 36 hours are up and you simply cannot live without Next Launcher another day (unlikely), the GO Launcher team just put the full version on sale for the weekend. Instead of the normal $16, you can grab the app for $9.59. A bargain? We'll let you be the judge.

If you're just looking for a difference experience and have a ten spot burning a hole in your pocket, maybe this is the launcher for you. Or maybe it's not. Either way, you can find it at the link below.

Not even that is a good Price for a launcher.

  • DeadSOL

Pffft! I'd never buy a GO product even if my life depended on it! EVER!

    • jonathan3579

I've paid for some of their GoSMS services...but that's as far as my support goes.

    • Markus S.

I had several GO products installed. At some point pseudo SMS text messages appeared in the notification bar: They were ads by one or more of the GO products. After I found out, I removed them all. Never ever any GO product for me again.

  • Jays2Kings

GO away next launcher, you're a menace to society.

  • Dan r. Maor

$1 is too expensive for this one.
    Installed, tried, disgusted, refunded.

    Forgot to add a review.

    • alexxx

And don't forget to change your pic, sorry, but it must go! :-P

      • Dan r. Maor

How's this one? Maybe now people will take me seriously...

        • alexxx

That's awesome! I had a pickn-on-everyone day, and you left yourself open hahaha! ...wish I could use the damm Photoshop, I need a company logo ASAP!

          • Dan r. Maor

It was about time I changed it though, so thanks for that.
I'm not that good with Photoshop either, just followed some online guides and played a bit with it.

    • paxmos

I can understand not liking it, but disgusted is rather a strong word. Maybe you are not worthy of this fine effort or just maybe you are using an outdated handheld!!...It runs beautifully and flawlessly on Sony Xperia T and Nexus 4. Take your $1 to a McDonalds and you might get a cheeseburger off of their DOLLAR menu. If you decide to respond to my reaction to your comment, perhaps you want to think first.....

      • Dan r. Maor

Fluidity was never the issue, this launcher runs beautifully well on my handheld. The issue is that it doesn't do anything that Go Launcher doesn't, except adding a handful of eye candy.

The reason I was disgusted by it was the pricing. At $10 I could get both ADW and Nova and still have change left. Both ADW and Nova offers double the functionality at half the price of Next.

If you want to sell a skinned version of Go launcher for a price - fine, but don't expect me to pay more than $2 for nothing but eye candy. And if it's eye candy you want, check out Vire Launcher - it's free.

        • paxmos

(Not trying to argue)......You are not forced to buy anything. My point is, don't bad mouth an app just because you don't like the price, you do have the option of walking away without buying it. I have spent a good chunk of money on these launchers (I buy all my apps except I guess the ones from Google) and that would include SPB Shell 3D, Nova Prime , Apex Pro, Action Launcher pro, SFLauncher (paid), Smart Launcher Pro, and quite a few others, none really stayed on my phone for more than a couple of days. I tried Go Launcher and I must say, nice but very cleverly promotes in app purchases. Anyway, All I say is unlike you, a few people my like eye candy and maybe that is all they are looking for and if that is the case, you shouldn't promote your dislike collectively. I say this was money well worth spending on this product.

          • chum

Damn man, I'm liking your tone.
Just give me a few minutes, I'm almost finished publishing this launcher that does nothing outstanding except add a doggy plate tile under all the regular icons.
I made it $33... be a pal and install it on all your devices?

          • paxmos

          • paxmos

Ok, I wanted to be fair, so I used your $33 UI for 24 hours....Installed, tried, disgusted, uninstalled...Can't get refund..past 15 minutes..So sell it to Dan r. Maor for a buck, he'll appreciate the hard work...(whisper...I think you are one of those cheap android users..life is too short..live it)

I actually paid full price for this launcher and I use it more than any other. It runs wickedly smooth, and I feel it is more in depth than most other launchers. It is a steep price but I actually love the customizations you can make. The only problem is it takes awhile to get to know this launcher. And the animations are a nice touch. I also noticed my battery lasts longer when using next launcher.

      • just_askin

Do you get excited by jumping castles and balloon puppets by any chance?

  • http://www.anivision.org/ Christopher Bailey (Xcom923)

still to expensive.....and its' not even a great launcher. For that money it better be PERFECT

  • Shawn Suther

The 90s called, the want their "futuristic UI" back... Sorry GO Team, as "neato" as some of its tricks are, this is dated like Vista. And it will never be worth 15 bucks. Or 10.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=667020551 Jose Torres

$9.59 for a launcher: STILL super expensive, next...

  • cy_n_ic

    The answer is still no.

  • andy_o

If one would buy it at $9, they would have bought it at $16.

  • http://twitter.com/WillieFDiazSF William Diaz

Looks cool, but even with a Quad Core device like mine, I fear all those graphics and animation will only slow it down.

  • Edward Smith

seriously they don't know how to answer customers questions. I just want to know what that theme is called with the hanging light. gezzz

  • Fussolia

    I'd rather use TouchWiz.

    • http://www.facebook.com/reynaldocor Luis Reynaldo Corcino A

      And thats saying a lot.

  • asdfads

how can anyone buy this crap? and for that price!

  • jebus

It looks like a Windows Mobile 6 launcher.

  • http://profiles.google.com/steve.crane Steve Crane

Installed the trial, decided that even if free, I could not use it. Minimalism beats bling for me. Then unsinstalled it and found it had replaced my wallpaper and I had to go and fix that. Not cool.

    • alexxx

You people are such spoiled brats, go launched has caused all the launcher revolution, it is the most advances and feature packed launcher for sub 4.0 devices that don't support Apex or Nova, which are identical and boring, and I bough both cuz they are stable and fast :-P go Dev team deserves some donations for their amazing work with GoLauncher, they prolly want an investment for their efforts but its not the RIGHT price for sure. Ok, Amma go check it out, God knows I might kill someone if my wallpaper changes -not! And to the guy preferring TouchWiz, Samsung has zerooo sensibility for aesthetics, just look at their phone's, simply and utterly nasty and insulting. Go HTC!

      • Shawn Suther

Well, that a lot of opinion, not fact.
And really? "go htc"? You're claiming Sense5 is better than... anything at all? You've been guzzling the kool aid, kid.
Go team stuff is blingy, but borders on bloatware with all the" extras" you have to install to get "full functionality".

        • alexxx

I don't ingest aluminium byproducts, and those are facts man, apex don't work with lower than 4.0, and GoLauncher is not at all blingy it on its own, without extras, offers useful features like folders in drawer, etc. No time atm to repeat myself. New sense also has that and other features that I need which apex has, but nothing extra. Sense really makes sense the way it integrates so deeply with android, it makes all the right connections with apps. Stop only reading about it and have a go with sense 4+, you'll like it, I guarantee it. As well it looks fantastic vs iOS and touchJizz

    • rappizit

cuz the wallpaper is system global, every launcher does this.

  • Milad Parsa

I'm not going to spend even a penny for this app!

  • alexxx

Just tried the trial - it really is great with perfperformance(on HTC one x with tegra), animations make things feel alive and futuristic, its on the border of just enough and overkill- imo just right, the extra organization option which are also found in that other ultra-overpriced launcher with true overkill in flashyness-honestly I forgot what its called, I had a cracked version, err are welcome because you can really add some personal touch. I am not a general consumer, I'm a geek and a control freak, so that's why this type of launcher is for some, and not for most. It does not enhance productivity or anything other than customization experience, once you're done, it seems like just an ordinary launcher as extra features its got won't benefit your day to day usage. It is bling, you got cash to waste?would like to show your appreciation to GoDevTeam for pushing the mobile boundaries since start? Are not broke like me atm? Go ahead and get it, ill stick with Apex for a while, although I think I just might like the new HTC Sense, once o get the update or the HTC One I will be sure.

  • JonJJon

Still looks too expensive, plus Go development team seem to take away free stuff and put it behind a pay wall like with Go SMS Pro which I stopped using because of all the alerts and unnecessary features ruining the usability of the SMS app. The ruined that app, so wouldn't trust them with this at this cost.

  • primalxconvoy

That's still too expensive. I might bite for .99 but I'm happy using the original, free Go launcher.

  • tym0

    well; I'll stick to MIhome...

  • http://www.facebook.com/guillermo.j.perea Guillermo J Perea

I tried the trial on my RAZR and even with all those 3d effects it was extremely smooth, just like the classic Go launcher, but I didn't like the retro bulky neon glass look.
ummary: performance is perfect, animations are beautiful, smooth and elegant, icons are ugly, wallpaper is corny, overall style is not my cup of tea, price is in the clouds.

  • spydie

I think this launcher has more eye candy than any other launcher. tried the free trial and within 24 hours had sprung for $16 to have the full works. I love the eye candy, and let's face it, that's all any of the launchers have to offer... this one just has MORE.

  • http://www.facebook.com/reynaldocor Luis Reynaldo Corcino A

If i had to pay $16 for a launcher, it would be TFS Shell 3D. It have TONS of usefull and cool features. But still, $16 for a launcher is WAY too much, i bought Nova Prime and im more than happy with it. :)

  • Yosef

Lightning Launcher is where it's at. It's a little tricky to get the hang of things at first, but damn, it's so quick and customisable, and it's under 1meg in size.

  • FadyMahfouz

Call me when it's for 0.99$, then I may consider it.

  • Kaostheory

Vire launcher is better than this. It's still in beta with limited themes, but looks to be next big thing in launchers.

  • http://twitter.com/cthonctic Cthonctic

Still costs about $15 too much. Who would honestly want to pay for this, never mind such an unreasonably high price?

  • troph

Just tried this app out and decided to buy it. If you want a great launcher, here it is. So many settings/customizations. Really well thought out. IMO much better than shell 3d. (I also have Nova Launcher which I love, but this one takes the cake, if you're willing to dish out 10 bucks)

  • John Nichols

Why would you want to do any of that?

  • Dan

A year ago, I probably would have seriously considered buying this. I definitely would have tried it out. Now, after a year of unstoppable spam in GOLauncherEX and GOSMS, I'm done with Go. Two months to a new phone and the GO products will finally GO away.

  • http://twitter.com/JazzEspresso JazzEspresso

    agree with Jays2Kings :-))))

  • Deltaechoe

Gotta love that tsf shell business model (yes, they started the high priced launcher thing)

  • nunu10000

I like how they demoed a $16 launcher with pirated Adele songs.
