If you were a kid during the 80s, or you just happen to spend too much time watching Cartoon Network, then you've seen claymation - the art of stop-motion video with molded clay and any other odd objects laying around the house. It's time to recall those days with Plasticine Jungle and Plasticine Ocean by developer Kolesov & Mikhaylov. These live wallpapers bring us back to our youth with brightly colored shapes and uncanny textures.

Note: The flickering you see in the videos is caused by the camera, it's not present in the app.

The LWPs run smoothly, look great on both tablets and phones, and are definitely worth checking out. Free versions are available and come without any nags, but only the paid editions offer settings and a full range of characters. Hit the widgets below to give them a try.

I'd love to see a Morph live wallpaper to bring back memories of the good old days of Tony Hart on the beeb.

tried the free version on my phone. fishes are too few.
    good claymation otherwise.

maybe I'll try paid version sometimes

Is it stated what more you get with the paid ones? It's a bit annoying when the description doesn't state that.

The Play Store descriptions do not detail this, but comparing the screen shots can expose a number of differences. You can also try the free versions and compare them with the videos (which demonstrate the paid versions), you will quickly notice a lot more is included.

Yeah, only the first screenshot though, so that threw me off. The difference is that there's only one fish and no boat or castle, and you can't change colors. And apparently only two fish. I like it though, I'm buying it, cause I'm feeling rich.

Oh wow, you're right, the screenshots for the Ocean aren't that telling. I looked at the Jungle scene, and those differences are night and day.

So I just bought it, and other differences are island, birds, and clouds. But it looks too busy for me. I wish there were toggles for each type of object and being able to select number of fish.
